I have been coming to this office for years. I called in to make an appointment and also mentioned that my insurance has changed. The rep asked me about the new insurance information. I said I can call back later with the insurance as I am driving or will bring the card with me to the appointment. She said they can’t wait and she has to cancel the appointment just made. I have been visiting this office for years and trusting them with all the dental related work. I thought trust goes both ways. I think it is little extreme to cancel the appointment abruptly. Of course they going to say that this is their policy. A policy of zero trust towards their patients.

Hello, I'm sorry about your experience recently. We do need sufficient time to inquire and receive the full details from new insurances this can take several hours sometimes. Providing that information at the time of your appointment would delay your for the duration of time you may have been scheduled for. Unfortunately, this is something out of our control as we are at the mercy of the insurance company. I see you do have an upcoming appointment. Please advise us of any new insurances as soon as possible so we may have accurate benefit coverage for any future appointments.

THIS PLACE IS A JOKE. NO ONE SHOULD EVER GO THERE. I live overseas part time. I scheduled an appointment a month ago. Got email and call confirmations. After 22 hours of flight time I land to get an email, first confirming appt then later on that day canceling because, as they state, they can't do a cleaning without a full exam first. I scheduled for a cleaning only and had no problem with that when scheduled. So I'm only in the US for 3 days and now don't have an appt.at all. Said can schedule for 1 pm but that was impossible because I specifically flew to Houston because of an appt at that time. They didn't care and showed no remorse and pretty much told me oh well. Seemed to me they just wanted to do anything extra to get $$ out of insurance company. Pathetic and sad customer service and should not be working in any public industry. STAY AWAY

Hi Clay, As a standard of care, xrays are done every 6 to 12 months along with, periodic exams are done every 6 months (not including ER exams, limited exams or post operative follow ups). Patients that have not been seen in our specific locations in over 15 months, need more attention to make sure we are providing comprehensive care. I'm sorry our available times we offered at our two locations during your time in Texas didn't align. We do encourage our patients to enroll in additional communication features, such as our patient portal secure messaging and text messaging for an easier experience. We are more than happy to see you again so we can ensure your oral health is on track and no issues occur while overseas. We have two locations, The Woodlands or Shenandoah we can schedule you for a 90 minute appointment by calling 281-298-2433, this would include your exam and cleaning. Respectfully, The Woodlands Modern Dentistry

The Billing of this entity is extremely unreasonable and unbelievable. In March and May 2021 , my wife had a dental cleaning and I had an upper denture and a lower crown installed. The initial billing was $9,125.00. We paid at the date of the services $4,780.75. Subsequently our insurance plan paid $2,144.35. After I reviewed the insurance statement, I found that I had over paid the entity by the amount of $2,977.10. That is because the billing of $9,125.00 is inflated. On November 11, 2021 , I demanded a refund. Subsequently, the entity made concessions and sent me 2 checks aggregated $2,499.50. Even though the refund is short of my expectation, I decided not to pursue the difference. However, In mid 2022, the entity keeps sending me a bill for the amount of $3,052.05. Apparently, the entity is reneging its own concession plus more. The inflated charges are mainly due to the insurance mandated PPO discount in the amount of $4,607.00. The remaining over charges of $570.00 are procedures never performed, or not suppose to perform. For example, both me and my wife were charged $95.00 for Oral hygiene instruction (D1330) . Both me and my wife were charged $63.00 for Oral Antibiotic (D9630). The entity claim that it had gave each of us a bottle of mouth wash to take home. I found that the mouth wash could only cost $3.00 from CVS with a prescription drug benefit. There are other unnecessary , procedures such as Topical application of varnish, Oral/Facial images, Gingival irrigation, etc.
