We paid Kerrigan Paving to install an asphalt driveway at our house in September 2021. We also paid for the sealing of the driveway and they performed the seal coat when it rained outside. The contract stated a one year warranty and we have been attempting to follow up with them for months since the spring of 2022 to request reasonable repairs. They have not responded to repeated phone calls or emails.Business response

I contracted Kerrigan Paving (Jim K*******) in May2019 to repave our driveway. The work was done in end of August 2019 and under a 1 year warranty. Only 4 months later I was concerned that parts of the driveway were deteriorating rapidly (already cracking and breaking off on edges). I contacted the owner Jim K******* in December of 2019 and again in January and April 2020. In January he said he would come by but did not until April. He said that he would honor his 1 year warranty and suggested he come back closer to right before it expires since he wasn't working in the area at that time. He also mentioned being concerned about coming out again at that time due to COVID. As he suggested I contacted him again in August 2020 to see when he would come out and repave or repair driveway. He said that he would when it stopped raining. He never came nor contacted me. In January and March of 2021 and May of 2022 I contacted him again and again asking for him to come out and honor his warranty. Now because of the greater deterioration I could see that he actually did not put as much tar and chip down that he said he would and did not reinforce the original pot holes and not all edges of the driveway are smooth to remain intact and strong. Now you can see on the driveway areas where the layer that he put down just chipped off. He always said that he would honor his work and the warranty, I contacted him about these issues well before the expiration of the warranty but he never came to make the repairs. I know that he likes to "tar and chip" in august of each year so kept trusting that he would contact me to arrange the repair. Since it is august again and I have not heard from him need assistance in him keeping his word and honoring his work.Business response

Response to this complaint from 2019. Our business is seasonal We close all of January and February depending upon Weather during March we’re Open and working that being said Jim K******* did respond to this complaint and The complaint advised him the only time he could come out to Repair didn’t work with the company’s schedule Being as we were already Committed to another area working when Jim K******* responded to the complaint again the complaint wanted the repair done Weather didn’t permit as it Was raining that week As of today August 26th 2022 Jim K******* is contacting # provided to Schedule a time to go to The complaint address and speak with Customer and try to Correct whatever the issue is on The driveway Jim K******* has put this top Of his list and He is trying to schedule ASAP with this customer to make them happy
