I hired Kerrigan to repave my driveway - about 4,500 SF - in September 2022. The work included helping to correct some existing drainage issues, improve water flow/slope, repair some crumbling areas and do an overlay. The work was completed, but not with great attention to detail. The drainage area was actually built UP instead of creating a swale as had been agreed, and there are several areas which had ponding with the slightest amount of rain - both of which were explicitly discussed in the bidding process with the contractor. Upon pointing out the drainage issues, they attempted to correct the problem in a half-ass way by trying to heat up and mash parts of the asphalt down, but it was too little, too late. It's not much better than having left it without the repair, and it's much worse than it was - including a sloped area that actually got directed back toward my garage. Fast forward 3-4 mos, and no less than 4-5 areas are cracking or crumbling, and/or spalling. When I contacted the owner, he asked for pictures. He promised to correct the cracking but told me "not to worry" about the ponding as "it's normal" - seriously. He asked to wait until winter was over and the asphalt plants were running again - a perfectly reasonable request. From and after April 2023, I've exchanged dozens of messages with the owner - always takes forever to get a response, then it's full of unkept promises - time and time again. FINALLY after hounding the heck of him, a crew arrived today (at least an hour after the timeframe promised) put a cold patch in one of the spalling areas at the very bottom of the driveway and left without fixing any of the several other areas in question, or even alerting us that they were there to do the work. This company is not to be taken at their word, as they don't stand behind their product. My favorite quote of all was "it's hard to send my entire crew out there $2500 a day." So it's too expensive to stand behind your jobs? Pathetic!
