On 11/17/22 I was contacted by my girlfriend while she was at Motor-World looking for a vehicle. The sales associate **** ****** asked if it was ok for them to run my credit and add me to the vehicle. Unbeknownst to me, my credit was ran 8 times and I was solely placed on the loan. I did not sign any paperwork agreeing for the vehicle to be placed in my name. Which I was told they would bring to my job and have me sign. I’ve never been to this dealership or signed anything. I would never had agreed to being the primary. Not only is this fraud but the vehicle has had an issue from Day 1. The practices were deceptive. There is a 3 day grace period where you can return the vehicle. The service engine light came on the same day of purchase and Ms. ****** was told to bring the vehicle back and they would put her in a similar vehicle. To no avail they didn’t have one and told her to bring it in for repair. Out of the 90 days of ownership they have had the vehicle more than her. Ms. ****** refused to make payments because they kept lying about the repair which she has messages and video to back up everything. Who has to rent a car 2 weeks after purchasing one? They refused to give her her money back and when she stated she would file a complaint they told her if she did anything to tarnish their good reputation her warrant would be revoked. They never repaired the 2013 Kia Sorento and put my family’s lives in jeopardy. Who approved the loan without me being present and signing. My credit has taken a plunge. I’ve been harassed by ****** **** and was called a liar when I told them I never signed any paperwork or received any correspondence about the vehicle. The Motor Vehicle Dealers Association has laws in place for misconception, fraud and verbally lying about repairs and the nature of the vehicle. I have read all the messages and viewed all the video content from Ms. ******. There is detailed documentation and evidence.Business response

I went to try to get a car for my first vehicle purchase, I authorized motor world to run my credit solely and they hit my inquiry with six or seven different places. I was told that I had to put my $600 down and bring the remaining $800 next week, I went over the paperwork with my mom and dad last night who discovered that I was not told a interest rate or any information dealing with them running my credit. I called back this morning and they verbally told me my credit interest was 23.9% and that they would not give me my $600 back even though it was a day after I went there. They took advantage of me and made me sign a paper stating a non-refundable $600 and nowhere on any of my paperwork did they mention my interest rates or even explain to me what numbers they wrote down on a paper. The company was very pushy and they took advantage of me being a young mother and a woman in general. I am now out of my money and a vehicle for my family.Business response

I purchased a used 2013 Ford Expedition from Motorworld on 1-27-22. The vehicle just received a VA state safety inspection within 1 month. My wife felt the brakes were not adequate on 3-8-22, she took it to our local mechanic shop and was told that she needed an oil change, new brake pads, new rotors and new calipers $951.12. One brake pad was actually missing and the oil viscosity was extremely broken down. My mechanic explained that it is not possible that this vehicle had a proper VA state safety inspection done within the past month. I took this information to the dealership and they said it was outside the 30 day warranty and they are not willing to honor any reimbursement because it was 12 days past the 30 day warranty. I feel if a proper inspection was done this issue should have been flagged and repaired before a dealership would legally be able to sell it on their lot.Business response
