After scheduling an estimate regarding a drainage issue, the business owner, Luke W******, did not show up at my house. I texted him to see if he was still coming and received no initial response. We eventually made contact and he said he rang my doorbell a few times and received no answer. I told him that I was near the front door and that I did not hear anyone knock or ring the doorbell. He responded that it had been a video doorbell. I told him that I did not have a video doorbell and confirmed my address. He apologized and asked if I wanted to reschedule. At that point, considering the missed address and back-and-forth about whether I had a video doorbell or not, I literally told him "No thanks. Have a great day", to which he responded with a thumbs-up. My major problem is that 1.5 months later, I received a very angry voicemail from Mr. W****** stating he had come back to my house and confirmed he was correct and I did have a video doorbell. He said that he know I was a retired cop and that I was too quick to assume the worst and that I could take my "cop stuff" and bury it in my retirement, whatever that means. So, after a polite initial "no thanks" he did a little background check on me to find out my previous employment and comes back to my house (which was, again, the wrong address) takes a picture of someone else's front door and then leaves me a very angry voicemail.
