This company reached out to me via text. I called back and reached one of the worst customer service rep ever. I asked for a paper statement acknowledging that they may have sent me some prior. I also said I was not denying that I may owe the bill but I wanted a statement because I didn't remember the Doctor. I've had many medical issues and some things may have falling behind. I didn't get a chance to say any of that before I was told that they sent information out prior. I acknowledged that they could have, I hadn't gotten anything and wanted another copy. She continued to tell me how they sent a paper statement before and it wasn't their fault I didn't receive it. I said again I'm not saying they were not sent, I am however, asking for another one to be sent. I even said I would make payments, I just needed to bill. She basically told me she wasn't sending another bill, and how did I want to pay bill. I told her I would pay the bill but I don't even remember the charges. I became frustrated and begin to elevate my voice after asking for a manager twice. This representative continued telling me how the sent the bill and what payment arrangements was I willing to make. She was rude, condescending and lacked empathy or compassion. She finally gave me what she said was a manager's name and number I called and left a message, then called back and spoke to someone who identified themselves as Wes. He seemed starch, I asked fir a bill to be sent, he verified my address and with a very monotone voice said ok I asked him about payment arrangement, he response initially let me know that wanted the payment in full. I say that because of the way he hesitated when answering. He finally with a dry tone said yes. My entire experience with these employees has left a bad taste in my mouth concerning this company. I know it's a job, but you all work with the public. You never know what's going on in a person's life.Kinum, Inc Response

We are truly sorry to hear that Miss B*** had an unpleasant experience with our company as we take any negative review seriously and hope to learn from it in order to better others' experiences in the future. As should be pointed out, there are always two sides to every story. It was our opinion that sending out an 8th correspondence would probably not have the desired result that our client was looking for. That said, we are happy to report that the day after this one-star review was placed, the matter was resolved with Miss B***. We apologize that Miss Robinson feels that she did not have an excellent experience with one of our agents, however, she must also realize that Kinum cannot be held responsible for something that one of our clients has done. To be upset with us when we are just trying to help her out of a difficult situation, one that we did not create, and to keep preaching that you are in customer service, does not make the situation go away. We appreciate the requested information that has now been provided to us and we are in the process of confirming it with our client. I spoke to Brad ****** whom was very aggressive with his efforts. While i understand what the intent of the call is I explained to him why I was unable to fulfill what i agreed previously, he continued to question me on the whys backing me into a corner of defense because he didn’t listen I told him when i could pay and told him i can start making payments again he argued with me again asking why when i already gave the reason. He then threatened you know what im just sending this over for the full amount, if there other options he didn’t bother telling me what they were and didn’t work with me at all! Your collection efforts are aggressive and threatening. I’ve read many reviews whom also have stated their scared. How horrible!Kinum, Inc Response

We are in receipt of the review you made concerning one of our agents and we appreciate the opportunity to respond and provide you with our position.
It should be noted that due to the personal nature of debt collecting, we unfortunately cannot give all of the specifics of what has actually gone on between the parties. That said, when an account has been assigned to Kinum due to lack of response and payment, we try and help that person by setting up an arrangement that the person can afford. When that person makes the arrangement as to what they can do, we expect that person to live up to that arrangement or contact us if there are any concerns. If said person fails to live up to their obligation for several months and doesn’t even respond to reminder letters or phone calls, and then gets upset when they do get a call and tell us that it is not a priority, it makes it difficult for us to help that person.
At Kinum, we understand that Life happens. We just expect to be notified when something happens that would change what the person promised to do.
Kinum treats all consumers with respect and dignity. We truly are sorry that you did not have an exceptional experience with one of our agents, but that respect and dignity must go both ways. We have requested another letter be sent to you with all the details. Kinum is a terrible company. They are rude, mean and unforgiving. They have absolutely no compassion and do not care about anyone. They also use extremely poor grammar, sounding very uneducated. If I could give a 0 star rating, I wouldKinum, Inc Response

Miss F********** we are sorry that you feel that you had a less than stellar conversation with one of our representaives. Kinum strives to treat all people with dignity and respect. I am not sure what you are referring to by us being rude, mean and unforgiving as before we contacted you, we sent out 6 notices to see if the matter could be resolved without the need for phone calls, however, you had not responded. Then when we did contact you, you would not identify yourself and refused to let us help you resolve the matter. I just wanna tell Kinum Corporation, thank you for assigning Mr. Michael Hyman to my collection account. In all my years of experiencing economic hardships that come upon me beyond my due diligence, it was a true pleasure to speak with him today. A representitive called me and he was being very rude to me. He wouldnt listen to anythimg i was saying. He gave me an attitude the whole call and ended up threatening me. Saying he was going to take further action. Im scared as hell and i dont know what to do.Kinum, Inc Response

I called Kinum today due to the company's attempt at deducting monies from my bank account. I was not aware or did not remember what this was about or what company was trying to get their payment. The man I spoke to was completely utterly rude and obnoxious. He wouldn't answer any of my questions, would give mixed information about the amount owed, and simply attacked. He was horrible,disrespectful towards me, and made every attempt at belittling me as to why my payment had not been made. I couldn't get any straight answers except more and more condescending comments. He went as far as saying he would terminate the call and simply send me to collections at which at that time, I called him a clown for the manner in which he spoke to me and possibly other people. I was completely offended and have never been treated with such disrespect.
I had no problem paying the bill and even asked to get transfered but instead, he felt like needed to criticize me further. This man should be ashamed in the manner in which he speaks to people, but I doubt that he has any. It seemed as though he was on a severe power trip. Based on other comments I have read, this company has a knack for hiring such people.Kinum, Inc Response

The rep that called me was incredibly rude and unprofessional. He yelled at me over the phone and when i told him that I needed to discuss financial decisions with my husband before making a commitment he got louder and told me "he would not let me skirt my responsibilities" then hung up the phone. I have had interactions with debt collectors in the past and this was by far the worst. This man was completely out of line.
