Bank is reporting a closed car loan has a balance. Payment was made in full to bank and in return, bank agreed to remove negative information from my credit. I request the loan be updated on my credit.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/09/21) */ In researching the complaint by Ms. *******, 1st Advantage has determined that in August ***** *** sent in payment for her ***. The title was released to Copart however, the loan was not paid in full and left a small balance. Ms. ******* was made aware of the balance however, she did not pay the loan in full and the credit reporting should reflect the balance still owed. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/09/26) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) This information is incorrect. I made payment in full to the collections agency First Advantage hired after refusing to work with me on final payment. This payment was made in full July 9, 2020. I have reached out to the collection agency to request a payment in full letter. The letter is in the mail. I will provide this letter once I receive it. The collection agency agreed that in exchange for the full payment, *** would report the payment made in full and remove the collection account from my credit report.

I had an auto loan with 1st Advantage Federal Credit Union. I was paying the loan through their online automatic bill pay which has been paying it automatically for over a year. On 4/26/2022 I received a letter stating that I was delinquent in my payments and owed ******* prior to 05/06/222. This was the first time I was contacted about my bill being overdue and immediately checked their online automatic bill pay which now only shows that there is an error on their side (see attachment). I went to the closest 1st Advantage Credit Union and immediately paid the ***** + remainder of the loan. After all that I noticed that it was reported to creditors and my credit score dropped 108 points. However the payments were never made because their automatic bill pay stopped working. Also the company only contacted me once and when they did I immediately paid the remainder of the loan.

I have contacted 1A at least 4 times; was told twice that s.o. would call me back. No one ever responded in any way. 1A raided the "Savings Membership" portion of this acct several times and over several months - without notice or warning and despite many years of the existence of the acct - under the rubric "Inactivity fee." We expect savings accts to be protected from such deletions, and call for complete restoration of the savings, a cancellation of the acct and a refund of the full amount to this trustee.
