I am very disappointed in my experience with applying for a property backed by People's Real Estate firm; specifically with the horrible individual ***********************. I was highly pro-active applying immediately withing the hour of the property posting on Aug 1; I was the first tenant to apply, first to send my proof of income, first to send the required tenant employment verification and rental history forms. As an out-of-state mover, they agreed to video call me for the viewing; the viewing was scheduled for 2p the next day and I was called at 2:09p. Viewing went great, immediately after the call concluded I followed up with the property office to pay the application fee which they only take in-person or via phone. I left two voicemails during their business hours and did not receive a call back. Upon inquiring why I was not offered the rental first, **** replied 'they first tenants to view the space paid the application fee first.' **** then added 'Applications are not considered complete until, application has been submitted, you have seen the property and paid the fee. .'So because I was called 9 minutes after the chosen initial tenants viewing, and no one returned my call, I was not selected for the property. I was more than communicative and proactive with the brokers and during numerous conversations **** failed to provide their 'selection contingencies' until I inquired for further details. I have found this experience highly subjective and discriminatory. Proceed with caution; they not exhibit honorable business services.

I first told you that we don't do virtual tours, and I should have stuck to our policy of seeing it in person or sending someone on your behalf.  There were 3 showings schedule in person prior to your phone tour and one of those people put in an application and submitted the payment prior to you.  I did inform you that you needed to see the property before submitting an application. I also let you know that there were multiple applications in on the property and offered you the other unit in the building. I'm sorry you were not selected for this unit but I dont have any idea of how we could have discriminated against you.
