Today, 7/18/2022, I caught the 197 at Puget and Fraser. The driver is a thin woman with straight blond hair and middle-aged. I asked her if she was going by Maple. No answer except some stuttering. She had no intention of answering my question even after I spelled Maple for her. She just kept a look of incomprehension on her face. She prevented the machine from accepting my dollar. We arrived at Maple at 3:25 PM. I went out the front door asking her if it was that hard a question. I was almost out the door and she says, "We have enough problems without people..." I raised my voice and I don't know that that is forbidden. I said loudly, "Solve them and help people!" This behavior is part of the culture of the organization. Employees think that they can be as obnoxious as they wish. There is something wrong with the head of WTA, because they've got a lot of sick employees. Ten days ago I got on the 80X and the young bearded driver insinuated that I was in the way of people getting off. I paid a dollar at which point he says, "You got a problem?" I took a seat when he told me that it was $2 (it was always $1 to go downtown). He might as well have told me to get off his bus.
