I will say I am not normally one to leave bad reviews. I prefer to give kudos when they are deserved... I would be doing our community a disservice though not to express my dissatisfaction with Dave's Chimney Service and their unprofessional behavior on multiple levels. I called around and initially found them professional as they returned my phone call to set up service and called the night before to confirm they would come and give me a better ETA... but then it went downhill from there. I chose them initially not because they were the cheapest (they weren't), but because they could get us an appointment within a couple of weeks. I took the whole day off work because they couldn't give me a timeline until the night before as to when they would arrive. The day of, their sweeper calls me and tells me there is road construction and it will take an extra 30 minutes to get to me and that he has to cancel because he wouldn't have time for his other appointments that day. I was professional but I mentioned it was throwing a wrench in my day to have to reschedule and I am sure he could tell the disappointment in my voice. I was promised the office would call me to reschedule... That was Thursday, I waited Friday, over the weekend, Monday... No phone call... I called on Tuesday to reschedule myself, left a voicemail. Called again on Thursday, left another voicemail. Called again the following week and now 4 weeks later I still have not gotten a phone call with an apology or a request to retain my business. My family was left scrambling to find someone to come clean our Chimney as everyone else was booking as cold weather is approaching. I can't say the last time I had such bad service, I will never recommend them, never use them, and will make sure others know not to go through them as they are unaccountable. As someone who has worked 20+ years in customer ********************** and management, I expect better of local businesses.
