Bought shoes and inserts from The Good Feet Store, ********, ** on May 2. 2023. *********************** measured and ink printed my feet, and we had a discussion about my problems with hip soreness when walking. I was very candid with ****** regarding my lifestyle and physical history and she ASSURED me Good Feet could relieve my discomfort. She then sold me their package with shoes, sox, 3 pairs of plastic inserts, foam inserts, and accessories. $1715.41 I followed the instructions on wearing the inserts and after a few months went in for different inserts as my feet/legs were very uncomfortable. The new inserts were also uncomfortable and I was having serious pain in my left leg. (thigh, calf, and ankle) ******** my leg would "give out' when I was walking. I decided to take a break from the program until the pain stopped and try to start it again, A doctor suggested X-rays, which showed very little cartilage in my left hip. I feel that the Good Feet Store employees are not qualified to determine if a potential customer is a good candidate for their products-they just want to make the sale.( I read their sales were supposed to be $25,000 a month per employee. I also read MANY negative reviews afterward about their products) I spoke several times with ***********************, regional Good Feet manager about these issues, and he said it had been 'too long' for a refund. I told him the Good Feet instructions said "soreness in feet, knees, hip back or neck" are possible ("transition soreness") but to keep wearing the inserts which I did for over 7 months. . I feel that Good Feet should refund my purchase because I am working with a physical therapist just to get back to where I was before I walked in the Good Feet Store.Business response

Spoke with ***** M today 5/13/2024. Explained Store policy: resizing or exchanging, no refunds however due to the length of time she has had her supports (May 2023 purchase date) we would allow a return for refund of the arch supports only, less a 20% service fee.
***** did not agree with offer. Feels she should get full refund of supports and unworn cushions insoles.
I stated again our offer and told her I would submitted my response to the BBB Complaint and franchise representative of the Tumwater location.

I am rejecting this response because: On 5/13/2024 I responded to Good Feet rep ******* and after discussing my complaint she offered me $1104 ($459 for each insert X 3 minus a 20% fee) which I told her I didn't think was fair given
I was also returning unused items. I suggested $1500 because I still have a long way to go (unpaid physical therapy sessions, frequent knee/leg pain, diminished walking ability) to hopefully get back to where I was as before wearing Good Feet inserts.
Sincerely,

I paid the store $1766.81 for the 3 arch supports and 3 insoles with the special toe plate charges as well. I believe I was taken advantage of due to being injured with plantar fasciitis. I stopped using the system after about one week. This ruined my first week of vacation due to the added feet pain which the Good Feet arch supports caused me.Im a ********************* teacher and I was misled by their sales practices. The orthotics are an over the counter product, however they are priced as if they are custom made. Further, I was not given full disclosure and wasnt told that all sales were final.September 27, 2023, I called the Lynnwood Good Feet store and asked about an undisclosed charge on my receipt. Added toe plate which cost $30 extra on each footbed. On October 4, 2023 I spoke with GS, who sold me this product on the phone and told her that my feet hurt more with the Maintainers and Im not using the Relaxers. After my conversation with GS on October 4, 2023 I contacted my orthopedic surgeon office and asked them for their professional opinion regarding the foot beds and the raised big toe. They responded that my hamstring exercises and getting insoles with heel padding were more important than the insoles with a raised toe. This Good Feet claim is a false claim that the raised toe will help my plantar fasciitis. After I returned from my vacation, I went to the Lynnwood store to get a refund. After telling the manager, GC how my vacation was ruined because of more pain in my feet, he granted me a partial refund of $1,053.91. He would take 2 out of the 3 insoles and the 3 arch supports. He said that there was a 25% restocking fee which amounts to $325.69 including tax. Why would a restocking cost $325.69? The Good Feet store is still getting to keep about $400 from my sale. Please refer to the receipts sent and help me get a refund for this ridiculous restocking charge.Business response

Complaint: 20801188
I am rejecting this response because I did NOT receive a FULL refund. Their response is FALSE. They wouldn't give me a refund for the 2 insoles worth about $121.80 which they said that they couldn't resell. I didn't want them and in my opinion they are overpriced to begin **!h! I'm requesting $325.69 which they claim is a restocking fee. I believe this is a subjective amount and can be different depending on the manager? I'm a ********************* teacher, and three hundred twenty-five dollars is a lot of money to me! For a corporation, it isn't.Further, the Good Feet's business practice and advertisement are fraudulent. Please reach out to the Good Feet store on my behalf and request the $325.69. I've attached two receipts.
Sincerely,

The $325 refund was processed on 11/2/2023. Customer must wait for her OWN credit card provider to post the amount to her account. Commonly takes 5-7 days to appear (she responded in 2 days to her BBB posting). If she continues to have questions she needs to reach out to her card provider.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
Sincerely,
Costing 40 dollars was all I needed
*************************** Ive had a re fitting of good feet orthothodics and given it ample time. Ive had no improvement regarding my foot pain. I spoke with my foot doctor and he said that a foot insert costing 40 dollars was recommended. I feel that the good feet store made claims about relieving foot pain that were untrue in my case. I would like a refund for my purchase. How is apiece of plastic affected by foot sweat. I think your excuse for not refunding peoples money is a total falsehood.Business response

Transaction Date: 7/6/2023 However I did not receive my copy of the receipt until 7/20/2023. This was a reprint as I was not given the printed information on date of purchase. No signature on the reprint.Commited to provide me: See below Nature of dispute: The arches have significantlly reduced the balance I had prior to the purchase and wearing the products as directed by Good Feet.Has business tried to resolve: In conversation with the salesperson at the ******** store who said that there are "No returns or refunds allowed." Interestingly The Good Feet Store (goodfeet.com) question section does not address this. Instead it states "Please refer to your locally owned/operated store for more details on the store's return policy."Account/order/tracking #: Maybe 435/17/4178 it's the only possibility shown on the reprint.Advertising: The product will provide "additional stability and balance" Balance problems have led to falls or near falls, or lack of balance at all times when wearing the product. Also, Good Feet states that the product will reduce pain in the feet. In fact, I did not have pain in my feet prior to the purchase BUT wearing Good Feet products left me with pain in my feet.Good Feet store location: ********************************************************************************* **************Business response

8-25-2023 I visited this business looking for orthodontics I have discomfort on left foot after knee surgery . **** has recuperated and about done with PT. After standing on map that shows you pressure points and a quick questionnaire, the clerk returned with the three pack of foot insoles, shoes, socks, foot massager, a pillow. It went on and on. I signed that I could not get a refund, agreed to credit, no interest financing. There was nothing itemized bill, no going over charges. After wearing the inserts for two days as instructed, I realized I made a big mistake. My knee pain returned and foot pain increased. I am afraid to keep wearable by the way bslesBusiness response

I met with ********* who is the salesperson who waited on me. I returned everything that I did not use. After more than a half an hour she issued a receipt to me for a refund of about half of the the original bill. I dont know that U am satisfied. I regret ever walking in the store. The shoes were double the price they should be and the insoles are around ****** each. What a scam!

06/10/2023 I am upset by the business practise of this store ( or franchise) - I went in because of knee pain and feel completely bamboozled by the hard sales pitch which does not disclose pricing or choice of products until the end and then I was given "3 packages" to chose from - and a whole lot of what I didn't need for a stick shock of over $2000.00 - I do not understand how I let that happen - I felt bewildered and powerless - I do not know why I didn't just leave as it was ludicrous - But when I got out to my car - read the receipt which states no returns - no refunds - I feel embarrassed and stupid as I don't even know how this happened to me but obviously a victim of hard sales pitch and realize that I have health insurance and still need to go to a podiatrist - NOT this over the counter franchise which I have no idea if it will resolve or worsen my issues - I called the store from my car - outside the store to find that the upcharges even on toepads on the footpads - The whole situation is likely unresolvable for me BUT there should be both the pricing and policy clearly visible to consumers in the store - AND if only to protect other vulnerable seniors - I truly feel stupid that I allowed myself to be taken - this is a shady business and the salesperson was of course quite dismissive afterwards - I know resolution for myself is unlikely but I believe others should be protected -Business response

I went to the good feet store at Alderwood after seeing advertisements for them on ********* I have been suffering, severe foot pain for the past couple of years. I went in and felt like I was pressured into buying inserts for my shoes with no opportunity for a refund if it didnt work out. it was over $1500 by the time I walked out of the store and wearing these inserts only increased my pain. I went back to the store and was supposedly refitted with different inserts with the same effect. They are still sitting in a box at home. The paperwork says they are nonrefundable, which doesnt make any sense to me. They are very uncomfortable, very hard on my feet and for $1500 a complete waste of money.Business response

On 10/31/2022 I went with my young adult son to the good feet store at Lynnwood Mall Blvd., as I had seen several ads on TV saying people were able to resume walking without pain using the product. I had spent almost a year in physical therapy trying to stop hamstring and ankle pain without much success. My son had long complained of foot pain due to flat feet. The nice sales person/store manager met with us and had us walk around the store for a good hour or more trying out the product and telling us we walked more level (shoulders even) with the arch supports in, and the theory of how to train your feet to have arches. I ended up spending $2,770.16 for a set of 3 supports for myself and 2 for my son. I followed the directions for how to use the product over the next several weeks. I ended up being hardly able to walk at all and much worse off. I contacted the store which said to come back in and they would fix it. I did so and they gave me a different arch support for one of the 3 and said it would make it better. They said if that one did not work they had 7 additional options to try one at a time, and repeated that all sales are final and no refunds are allowed. The 2nd option did not improve my experience at all and finally in order to be able to walk again I stopped using the product completely. My son cannot walk with his either. It does not seem fair that from the get-go we were told no refund, and therefore never were able to say it is all a bunch of false advertising.Initial Complaint
