Placed an order for chickens through ** **** ***** ** ******** for delivery 3/20/24. When shipment showed up at **, there was no heat included, no water, no food. Chickens sat there until I could get there that early afternoon. I was told on the phone from ** that instead of getting 8 chickens that we ordered we would be getting 6 of what we ordered and and extra of 1 since Easter Eggers had a batch hatch. nothing was communicated besides that. When we got to **, there were 9 chickens in the box. we got charged for 7 chickens, when we didn't approve of the 7th one as that is not one we ordered or approved. We came to purchase 8, due to space in our existing coop. when looking at the chickens there was one in the box that was pretty much dead eyes couldn't open, and lethargic. which ended up dying. I called Sunnyside on Friday and got a response on Monday 8:03am by a RUDE employee named Jolene. told me it wasn't a problem that we got extra chickens. "if one died it's not a problem, you got bonus chickens." to come to find out, the chicks had hatched on Monday and boxed up on Monday for Wednesday delivery. No food and water, Jolene told me that chicks can live 3 days without food and water. when I clarified that, she said don't quote me.. but yet she told me that they were boxed on Tuesday.. I was told by Jolene that a Nick would be calling me back and haven't heard from him as of yet. To have no communication from Sunnyside and putting a pretty much dead chicken in our box but given Bonus chickens is normal for this business. I will not be ordering from them, and will make sure that all Chicken families will be told about our story as well.
