      I will never shop at Mittens again! We purchased a gas stove it was the display model and the salesman told me that this stove was purchased as a package deal with a fridge and microwave, but the customers backed out of the stove. This should have been my first RED FLAG. The first day of operating the oven, there was a horrible smell coming from the stove. I contacted Mittens and they said that is the normal burn off smell and should go away in time. The smell has never gone away. The repairman could not figure out the issue and said he would need to talk to the owner. Two weeks go by and no call. In the meantime we ended up contacting WE Energies to come out as we could smell gas coming from the stove, even when not in operation. They indicated the valve on the stove was open and the stove was not safe to operate and repairs need to be made. I contacted the owner of Mittens, they ordered a new valve from GE. The repairman came out 9 days later. We used the stove and there was a loud poof inside the oven, this happened twice and we shut the oven off immediately. The house smelled very strongly of gas once again. This stove was not fixed and I contacted the owner again and I explained that I do not feel safe with this stove and something needs to be done. He stated he would talk to the repairman that was out here and get back to me. He reassured me that they will take care of me and make this right. He stated he will talk to the repairman to see what they found out with GE. The repairman came back out and could not offer a resolution. He also mentioned that my stove was so clean and if they can pass the stove through inspection they will take it back and resell it at a discount on the showroom floor. The next day I received a call from the repairman at Mittens stating they are getting nowhere with GE and will provide me with a $500 credit towards a new stove. I was not going to return this stove to Mittens to have them resell it. They also delete my google reviews.

      In response to *********************** complaint. We went out and replaced the oven ignitor on our first service call, because of the **** of gas in the oven due to possible delayed ignition. After WE Energies came out and told her where the gas smell was coming from (oven valve/regulator), we replaced the oven valve, regulator, and bake burner tube. We also replaced the flexible gas line connector behind the stove just to be sure there weren't any issues with that. After contacting GE about the issue, they had advised us to perform the repairs we had done already. The customer could still smell gas after repairs were completed even though no leaks were detected with leak detector solution. GE did not authorize replacement of this range and the customer wanted no further service performed on this range. Even though the range was out of the manufacturers 1 year warranty period we offered ******************* a $500 credit towards a new range, We did not get a response from ******************* from this point on. We are unaware of removing any reviews online and certainly would not resell *********************** 1 1/2+ year old range. We tried everything in our power to satisfy ******************* and wish her the best moving forward.

      The last service repairman that was out here indicated my stove was so clean that they would pass it through inspection and resell the stove at a discount. How would I know anything about passing through an inspection to resell the stove? They did not do everything in their power to satisfy a long time customer. Instead they wanted me to spend more money and give them the old stove back, which I was not going to let another customer deal with all the troubles that we dealt with. I feel they sold me a used stove in the end, since the previous customer did not keep the stove but kept the matching fridge and microwave. They are a shady company and they have many horrible reviews online as well. Many of those reviews are along the same scenario as mine. Since I have called out the removal of my ****** reviews online to the BBB my last review has not been deleted.What does that tell you?
