We have been working with Merchant One for 2 plus years now and can honeslty they are THE WORST card service company we have dealth with. They add on extra charges they dont even talk about up front with you and make up a variety of different charges along they year and tell you cost are going to go up. They are hard to get ahold of via phone and take forever to fix issues. We just had a large transaction we did with our own card trying to buy from our own business. At first they said because it was a large amount it would not go through the normal next day funding as they needed to have extra documention such as receipts. Understandbly we provided it. I gave them everything they requested for. After telling me multiple times it was being reviewed (days on end), they finally told me it would deposit. The day came to be deposited only to be told to see it was not. After multiple calls there risk team told me that another underwriting team had reviewed the transaction and deemed it unauthorized as we as the owners were doing the transactions. After arguing there reasoning we gave up on it. The very next day the funds were still deposited to our checking acct only to be taken back the after next. On top of it all we were charged for transactional fees we were told by there risk team member Lesly that we would not be charged and if we did they could be reversed. We called today to speak to a supervisor. After being told within 10 min someone would call me back we got an email sent to us saying basically there was nothing they can do. The charges were charges made by the credit companies and not them. Whatever you do, not DO BUSINESS WITH MERCHANT ONE! Find someone else!!Merchant One, Inc. Response

Charging our own card at the business is against VI/MC regulations and in violation of the processing agreement. Please review your merchant agreement terms and conditions. As a processor fees are paid to the card brands for processing the sales for their merchants, even if reversed, your processor is still charged fees for the sale therefore you are also responsible for fees. You are billed fees on the sales that you run, per your agreement, however in violation of the agreement, the sale to your own card is not permitted therefore it is reversed, you are still responsible for those fees as you processed the sale.

SCAMMERS THEY TELL YOU EVERTHING YOU WANT OVER THE PHONE BUT WHEN IT COMES DOWN TO IT DOES WORK THAT WAY CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST AND KEEP TELL YOU WHEN ACCOUNT CLOSED TELL YOU THREE MONTHS LATER IT IS NOT CLOSED AND STILL CHANGE YOU DO NOT DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO ON BUSINESS CAUSE THEY WILL TRY TO CHARGE MONTHS LATERMerchant One, Inc. THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD IN CUSTOMER SERVICE I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND AND WILL DO EVERYTHING I CAN TO TELL EVERYONE THIS IS A HORRIBLE COMPANY HOLDING SMALL BUSINESS FUNDS FOR NO REASON. I HAVE GIVEN YOU EVERYTHING NEEDED AND STILL WASTED MY TIME. BY HOLDING THE FUNDS I COULD NOT PAY MY VENDORS FOR THE WORK, I HAD A VERY ANGRY CUSTOMER TRYING TO GET THE CAR BACK WHICH I COULD NOT RELEASE BECAUSE YOU WERE HOLDING MY FUNDS. CLOSE THIS ACCOUNT!!!! THE REP ANTONIO IGNORED MY MESSAGES THE MIN WE OPENED THE ACCOUNT ON FRIDAY. NO RESPONSE FROM HIM. THE WORST COMPANY TO WORK WITHMerchant One, Inc. Response

I have not received a payment from Merchant One credit card processing in 2 weeks now . My new merchant services account, with Merchant One is blocked and they are not sending me my credit card transactions. Chase Bank did not allow a $32 ACH payment to Merchant One for September service fees. This would have been avoided if my rep had instructed me properly when I told him my bank has ACH protection. Rather than call me to see what The problem is Merchant One just turned off my account so I can't get paid for any new credit card sales. They're holding over $3200 worth of sales and not depositing it into my business checking account. It's been 2 weeks . I have a perfect credit record with no debt. Last Friday I got a letter from my Chase Bank manager and sent it to Merchant One to unfreeze my account. Now Merchant One is dragging their feet. I told my account rep, Isaac ****, when he signed me up that Chase Bank has ACH protection. My rep did not give me instructions on how to avoid this problem.. I'm still waiting for the Merchant One to reopen my account. If they needed $32 I would have overnighted the money to them. Don't just shut down my credit card processing. If I don't have everything open by Friday October 18 I'm going to temporarily just take checks, bank wires and electronic payments. And this will hurt my company sales. Alao I will have to sign up with another merchant service company. . This is disrespectful and unprofessional. I need immediate attention with this matter. Your customer service to good businesses like my 63 year old company is shameful. I am 72 years old and don't need the stress. Please fix this problem immediately. Well I guess the words out and I am not the only one scammed by this company. We tried their service they made lots of promises none of which came through. We paid for over a year never used it because I never got it up and running. Then I canceled returned their UNUSED EQUIPMENT AND THEY SAID THE DIDN'T ACCEPT THE CANCELATION as it wasn't the right email. There is no other email just mine. They claim they tried to call but funny thing is my answering service never got a call. So they want to keep charging to infinity. I am filing with Consumer Services and the state. Don't get involved they are not honest and they are difficult.Merchant One, Inc. Response

It's been over 2 weeks since i have been trying to resolve processing and approval issues. First Merchant one wired money to my bank using WRONG routing number. My bank returned funds and no Merchant one is requesting a letter from by bank to show the error has been taken care of???? Makes no sense, my bank did not have an error. I have been reaching out the Merchant one for 2 weeks and have yet to see my money. $72K that is putting my business at risk. One Rep- Jake was out on vacation, luckily he at least replied to tell me. Leslie only responds after I bombard him with over 3 messages and even then he doesn't resolve anything. Alyssa repeats the same thing over and over, I need proper documents! WTF does that mean, it's a Merchant One error. What documents do you need. I'm so done and frustrated, I just want my money and that is it. Someone please solve this issue, I am about to hire an attorney to assist me in getting my money. Avoid this company at all costs! Everything about it seems to be a lie. I only wanted to update my bank account information and provided them with all the official bank letters, but they still haven't assisted me in making any updates. Instead, they keep asking for additional information, like personal account balances. Customer service is non-existent. It's difficult to reach them, and when you call, you're only met with an automated system.Merchant One, Inc. Response

I'm feeling that this whole thing is just a scam to get access to my bank account and take $35 a month out of it. I was told by sales when opening an account that the charge would be $9.95 a month. I have been trying since 9 AM this morning to contact Merchant One in order to close the account and cannot get through. I've waited on the phone for an hour twice just to be disconnected. I have tried to use the text option and am now currently waiting for a text response to my request to close my account for over 10 minutes. Apparently no one wants to respond when I request closing the account. The website doesn't even give me an option to sign on, just an option to set up an account (which I already have). I'm VERY angry and frustrated with this. I am still trying to find a way to close the account...Merchant One, Inc. Response

I was being charged monthly for a machine I wasn't using. I sent the machine back after I paid the fees that month and then was charged $295 for canceling a contract I didn't even know I had. When I signed up to use them in 2023 they never said anything about a contract. My store closed and I didn't need the card reader anymore. I called and the customer service and the guy told me I wouldn't be billed anymore and the account was closed. I woke up this morning to my bank account $295 in the hole. They charge you fees for statements and I didn't even receive statements. This company rips you off all the way around! I called back this morning and told them i was coming here because I didn't even know there was a contract. I signed the paper about early cancelation because I HAD TO to return the machine. They know what they are doing and keep doing it to many people!Merchant One, Inc. Response
