Bad company lies about cancellation policy wants to bill for service cancellation $200.00 crazy had 1 treatment they got paid $150.00 called to cancel and they now want $200.00 more I dont think this is legal like to never see this company againEcoShield Pest Solutions Response

Be careful. I'll share my short story.I have a pest control company who does my property on a seasonal basis. He is a very good friend and we do business together. I was outside playing with my 4 children and a sales person walked through my lawn to come speak with me. His name was Cade. He was a nice dude and after I turned down his service, he proceeded to tell me that I have a lot of bee hives that are dead but need to be taken down. I told him that I will pay for him to do that, however, I don't need any other services as I already have someone under contract. He said no problem, we will just do it this one time. Please sign here. He then told me, don't tell your neighbors because I charged them $479 and I'm only charging you $179. I signed an **** that he wouldn't even let me hold. I got bored at night and started reading through the contract. I read that I am now locked in for 3 years, 4 times per year for services at $179. I called Cade and he told me there was nothing he could do and to call Eco-Shield. When speaking to the woman, she apologized and proceeded to tell me that she can cancel my services with a $300 fee. Shame on me because I believe the good in certain people. Someone who walks through someone's lawn to start a conversation should of been my first red flag. This Cade character was a complete scam artist and wants to take advantage of people when he can. If he is in your area, I would tell him to get off your property. He will lie, over charge you, and lock you into something that you didn't agree to. I know lots of people and will make sure that no one uses Eco-Shield Pest control ever again. They lied to my wife about the cost. They said they would lower the price if we went with the year package. My wife ask Donte TWICE if it was a once a year charge and TWICE he told her yes. Come to find out that we would be charged quarterly the amount quoted. After calling the company and a half an hour later they finally lowered the price a little bit more. Very deceptive business practices. Also they charge for 5 visits. Maybe they are using the new math but to me quarterly means 4 times.EcoShield Pest Solutions Response

Salesman Bryce was supper pushy wouldn't take no for an answer. He said they were going to do all this stuff treat every inch of the house dust the shutters to keep wasps out. I was hesitant but signed up. Doesn't go through any of the terms and conditions just scrolls through and says sign here. Should have been redflag #2... The technician comes and probably wouldn't have done anything if I didn't follow him around the first floor before I had to go back to work. Not sure if he even treated the second story or lower level. Didn't service the back deck exterior windows at all per contractors I had on site that day. Came back and I had to tell him what to do based on what the salesman said as if i'm supposed to be the expert. Even then still didn't do a complete job. I cancelled my service the next day but then they send you additional charges for cancelling the service even though they didn't complete their end.EcoShield Pest Solutions Response

Door to door solicitor was deceiving in how information was relayed. Indicates neighbors are signing up for program. In reality, its a four-year contract with a deduction at the beginning. If you do not stay the full year, they charge you even more money. I had less than half of an application put down. He said I could decline at any time. I did decline and they are refusing to let me cancel my service. They want additional payments for CANCELLED service. Complete scam, they wont take no for an answer. They wont provide a manager when I try to speak to one. I already paid $169 upfront. I didnt like the service. Wanted to cancel. They are not letting me. Im refusing to pay any additional funds. They contacted my mother at her house and talked to her for a few hours. They told her that they would do a one time service for 309.00. When she talked to me about it I reviewed the contract and found out that it was for a year of service at 169.00 every two months. I canceled the order and talked to one of the reps I saw walking around the area. I told them I was going to call the police and file a complaint. Within a half hour of this they returned to my mother's house and returned the check and apologized for their actions. My husband thought he was getting 4 treatments for $169 for one year. We had some neighbors that thought that also and lo and behold! First bill came on charge card for $169, second bill came 3 weeks for $169. Placed a call(Arizona company answered) and inquired about this and talked to 2 of the most rude people ever. The 2nd bill was for killing the eggs of whatever I was told. I replied I would pay the 2 bills of $169 but was going to cancel due to the price and the service we received when the inside of our home was sprayed. This fellow squirted the window sills, put some powder down the bathtub drain(for silver fish) and in the basement squirted this formula about 2 times here and there. Probably was here for about 5 minutes. The Arizona people said we could not cancel and they sent an invoice for $231. The description for this $231 reads as: Annual Commitment Payback! This was sent via email on July 3, 2024. The due date on this bill was July 2, 2024 . It is now July 8, 2024 and we are still battling the inside insects. Sales guy was not honest about the pricing, said I could cancel at anytime. When I tried to cancel, they said I would have to pay the amount of the discount before I could cancel. It took 6 calls and said I was reporting to BBB, plus some loud communication, and I am still not positive I got it canceled yet.EcoShield Pest Solutions Response

Sales person told me I could cancel anytime. I lost all wildlife, cardinals, bunnies, etc. They had a call center from out of the country keep calling me while I was at work despite me telling them to call after 4:30pm and have someone from the local office call me. After a brief discussion with the call center insisting they needed to come out 3 more times, I said fine you can spray my basement and the cost would need to be in accordance with that.
