Title: Disappointing Experience with Wyoming Saddle Company I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Wyoming Saddle Company, and I must say it was a complete letdown from start to finish. I had eagerly scheduled an appointment back in April, making a significant 6-hour drive to their location. I was enticed by the owner's promises that the saddle I intended to purchase would fit my horse like a glove. With a hefty price tag, I was willing to invest in my horse's comfort on long, challenging trails. My enthusiasm quickly turned to dismay when reality struck. After a mere few hours of riding, my horse exhibited unusual behavior. Upon closer inspection, I found swollen lumps on his back as a direct result of the saddle.Following the owner's advice, I attempted various pads and cinches, only to be met with the same problematic results. The situation escalated to the point where I had to call in a chiropractor to alleviate the discomfort my horses were enduring due to the saddle's poor fit. When I reached out to Wyoming Saddle Company for a solution, I was met with indifference. They flatly refused a refund, citing the saddle as a "special order item." This excuse seemed feeble and unreasonable, given the glaring issues with their product. My attempts to communicate via email in July went unanswered, leaving me feeling abandoned and ignored. Finally, in August, I received a response with a phone number to contact for discussion. I proposed the idea of an exchange, and I was even willing to haul my horses the extensive distance for an in-person fitting. However, their suggestions leaned towards yet another purchase, this time a custom saddle. This came as a shock, considering I had already invested a substantial $4200 in their product. The culmination of this entire ordeal left me severely dissatisfied and disillusioned with Wyoming Saddle Company. Their lack of responsibility for selling a subpar product that endangered my horses' well-being is unacceptable.

Lets be honest . First the saddle was purchased on March 17th our first email was received July 1st. She may have sent one sooner but I never saw any until July 1.I called her many times but could not leave a message because her voicemail was full.I also told her that texting or talking is the best way to communicate. In August she texted back and said she doesnt know how to empty her voice mail so I could not leave a message. The pictures of the saddle she sent it is clearly well used not a mere few hours. But months of use, if it made her horse react after a mere few hours why would she keep riding in it?I have always told her I would help her with the situation but she needs to bring me the horse. I have been doing this for over ***** years and we build saddles as well and have designed trees and build high quality saddles. The inferior saddle she is talking about is not inferior at all, its one of the best saddles built in the country by *************After reviewing the pictures of her horse with the saddle on again today and getting a second opinion the saddle does present a good fit, but as I told her at the time it may be just a hair wide but the McLite does not come in any other gullet size. She wanted the saddle. Sometimes they can widen it just a bit or narrow them up a tad but not much. The horse in the picture is not the horse she bought the saddle for.She also says she paid $4200 well it was $3780 thats $420 difference. But yes thats still a lot of money.I told her a long time ago to come and I would help her and let me know when she can come and we would set an appointment. She has had all summer, but the other day she contacted me and picked September 29-October 1 weekend so she could ride in the arena. Well it so happens that we have the barrel racing series finals that weekend and I told her the arena is not available and I would be super busy with the event going on.She got angry and said she was going to slander us and that was the only day her friend had available to come.Well I understand its a long drive but her friends availability has nothing to do with it. She has had from the day she bought it back in March to come back with her horses so I could help her.I can only help as far as people let me, if they dont let me help them my hands are tied.I offer and if they dont come or respond there is absolutely nothing I can do.I did say that we may have to have a custom semi qtr horse tree built but not purchase another saddle, I would credit her appropriately and usually more than fare and get her a different saddle.I stand by every saddle I sell but again as in another situation the customer needs to come back and let me help them or I cant.We bend over backwards to help people and if something isnt right we fix it and always will.I have all the communication still in her writing and mine so yes I can back up what I say.I also do want to mention that if a company didnt have policies in place they would go broke. I usually bend the rules to help people and will continue to do so.I am still willing to help her even with the slanderous remarks she made that are not all too accurate of the situation but she blocked me from communicating with her so that makes it kinda hard to help her.We are very proud of our customer service and we go above and beyond to help people. I have been fitting saddles for over 20 years and my passion is to help a horse and rider with the best fit possibly. Do I make mistakes? I have yes but in all those years I have maybe gotten a few back but not always because they dont fit but other issues that have nothing to do with fit. Can one saddle fit several horses absolutely they can! I have proven that many many times in my past. Will the same saddle fit a super wide backed Percheron and a thoroughbred, h*** no. But a well made high quality tree can fit several different horses. But be reasonable, its not gonna fit a very narrow high withered horse and a mutton withered stocky horse. Again I can only go by the information I receive. If they are built similarly then yes it should work on both. Those that judge from hearing one side of a story should open their eyes and think about the entire situation not just one part of the story.I reached out to her again last night and told her again I would help her. Then she blocked me and unblocked me to send a message. So I asked her to send me a current photo of the saddle so I can determine a value. And I will give her a very fare credit as I always do. I am still waiting on a response but for all I know Im blocked again. Hope not because I do want to help her.
