            In November 2022, BBB received a scam tracker report about a call coming from someone claiming to work for TELUS.  The consumer received a call about a Senior discount offer and was asked for debit card and driver's license information. TELUS does not ask customers for their full license number or debit card information; however, for verification purposes will ask for the PIN on the account that was set up by the client and if they cannot verify will ask for the last 3 digits of a driver's license to secure the account. If it is a new account, TELUS will require 2 pieces of identification.  Consumers receiving emails from promotions@telusstocks.com are advised to report it to CDP@telus.com.

              My husband and I were charged $175 for a Telus service call that we cancelled, which was confirmed via chat. A technician showed up at appointment time, insisted that he needed to come in the house and perform his tests. This was after my husband showed him the cancellation text with Telus. This was escalated to Telus but the charge was still on our last bill. They are giving us a $20 credit per month but I asked for the cancelation of the charge. WE spoke to Telus Manager, **** at ************************** and were under the impression that the charge would be removed, as well as a $20 credit to our monthly account for 24 months. (Case # *******). We left her a voice mail for **** yesterday but have not received a callback. My husband did contact Telus **************** via chat regarding the $175 charge on our last auto pay statement and was advised the charge would not be removed. ************

              Telus optik tv is full of bugs. The picture quality is just the same as ******, but Telus features are like clunky compared to ******., which is simpler in so many ways. You cannot just turn your tv on and go to a tv channel without going to a stupid Home Screen, which cannot be disabled. Then you have to navigate to tv. Some shows like *********** at 6pm seem virtually impossible to set up series recording, push record twice to set series recording and 2 seconds later the setting resets to no recording. There are just too many bugs to want to stay with Telus, Ill be going back to ****** soon despite my contract penalties.***** K
