    In July of 2019, Better Business Bureau serving CT (BBB) opened an investigation to review the business practices of One Perk Place after receiving complaints that eventually closed as unresolved. Specifically, BBB looked into claims that consumers found unauthorized charges on their credit card even after refusing all offers. Others indicated that they signed up under false pretense or had never interacted with the business at all. When BBB reached out to the business by phone, One Perk Place claimed they had no physical address, but claimed they were answering their phone calls in Chicago, IL. BBB has been unable to confirm the location of One Perk Place.  As of October 11 2019, the majority of BBB complaints remain closed with no resolution from the business.

    BBB advises consumers to exercise caution when asked to provide personal information and to fully understand all terms and conditions of reward/membership cards, including trial periods. Consumers should research any correspondence or communication from a company they are unfamiliar with before responding or providing any information in an effort to determine its legitimacy. BBB recommends reviewing your financial statements regularly to monitor for any unauthorized activity that may need to be disputed within a specific time frame.

      Should be zero stars. By accident I inadvertenly called their Company because their phone is one digit off from ***** **** number. I told them why I was calling about my ***** card and the rep stated that they were ***** bank (obviously lying - using the information I shared). By stating that they were ***** bank, they managed to get my credit card info and other personal information, all the while I thought that I was speaking with ***** bank. They also insisted that I would not be responsible or was signing up for any promotions, that I just had to listen in order to get my ***** verification code. I should have been suspicious but since I called them, I thought it was legitimately *****, and they then led me to believe that was the case. Once I figured out that this did not seem legitimate, I told them I thought it was a scam, they hung up and by the time I checked my credit card usage, I had been charge for OnePerk. I subsequently called back to see if they would try something scammy again, they did, requested my bank name and account information which I did not provide. This company should be ashamed and the BBB should shut them down. They are not legit. I am trying to figure out who else I can contact. I have spent the past few hours, freezing accounts and cancelling credit cards thanks to this Company and its fraudulent charges...oh and when you call, they claim that it is a technical issue that sends the call to them and that they have nothing to do with the scamming people, even though they also ask for bank checking numbers and credit card numbers pretending to be charging for S&H. Don't believe it. There is a reason that their phone number is one digit off from ***** - and it is intended to scam
