This is not a knock on the talented young men and women that form Mariachi Herencia. I have followed this mariachi for many years, attended several of their concerts, including my **** mater ********************. This wonderful group of musicians pour their hearts and deliver spectacular performances. Mis respetos to each of you. My comments are solely for the founder and manager of Mariachi ******************* *****************************. I hired Mariachi Herencia to perform at my daughters quinceaera in June. After confirming their availability, I provided all information to the manager, including a $500 deposit on 12/12/23. Since then, I made numerous attempts (phone calls, texts, and voicemails) to contact the manager in an effort to secure a contract for our event. My attempts were unsuccessful as they were frustrating. Finally, I was able to connect with the manager on 01/29 to inquire about my contract. He showed a lack of professionalism, became combative, pompous and rude. He indicated that he does not do contracts, but will send me a confirmation number which he never did. I requested a refund which I finally received last night. Yelp reviews show that I am not alone, and that others, too, have shared unpleasant experiences with this manager. I regret not taking the time to review some of the negative feedback as they would have given me more insight and spared me the unnecessary stress and frustration. Shame on you, *****, for your unprofessional conduct and lack of integrity. A mariachi of this stature requires a better representation, one that aligns with your original mission to affirm, celebrate, and preserve the rich, cultural heritage of mariachi music.
