I visited the Vein Clinics of America in ************* ** to treat vessels on my face. I saw Dr. ************************************************ who performed sclerotherapy to treat vessels around my nostrils via injections. After the first procedure, the doctor scheduled a follow-up in 4 weeks. I came for a follow up thinking not expecting anything negative. After ************************** injected my face, he saw something wrong was going on but he ***** warn me it was necrosis. ******** appeared on both nostrils due to escape of the sclerosing solution into the skin and outside of the vein. The doctor ***** warn me of any consequences or tell me the steps of how to take care of the dying cells on my face. He let me go home and told to schedule an appointment with his friend plastic surgeon. The first day after the procedure the nose looked okay, but in the next couple of weeks the wounds started to rot and hurt. I stopped going to work or even going out because the wounds couldnt be hidden. Dr ******** the plastic surgeon, who ************************* sent me to, ***** recommend any other treatment besides the band aids to hide wounds, which I am allergic to. In about 2 months, when the the wounds hilled, I was left with scars on both of my nostrils and more vessels than before due to trauma. I am currently undergoing laser treatments to remove scars. Ive tried contacting the clinic to get a $400 refund which I paid for the sclerotherapy and get payment for my laser treatments and co-pays that I incurred when visited doctors for treatment of wounds. The clinic was not cooperative and eventually has stopped responding to my emails. I want reimbursement of all my expenses.Initial Complaint

Vein Clinics of America ************************************************************************************************** I was seen on May 25, 2022 and paid a copay of *****. I have a secondary insurance that reimburses me for medical copays. My copay does not appear on any of the documentation I have requested and received since May; therefore I cannot collect my *****. Every time I contact billing: ************, they say will mail me document showing copay. Spoke with ****** today. Have never received anything except what they submitted to IBX Keystone East. They have omitted my co-payment when submitting claim IBX Keystone East.I want my ***** and feel this practice is not documenting their claims properly to ******** and IBX. I was never examined by a physician,*************************, only told number of visits needed. I was unhappy with the practice and sought treatment elsewhere. Am seeking credit of ***** to my credit card or suitable documentation through IBX Keystone East.*************************************Initial Complaint

I wanted to get rid of my spider veins I went to *********** of America responding to an ad where they were promising to do exactly that for me. I had to pay for an examination and sonogram $250 to make sure I didnt have bigger issues with my veins which I knew I didnt but they would not do the treatment without that so I had to do it. After that the offer was $245 however they charged me more than $300 and the treatment didnt do anything for me on the contrary it gave me more spider veins in my legs. I complained to them and the lady told me to come back to try again. She did it again and nothing. She said if that didnt work then I had to do laser because my veins where too thin. I told her why would they make me waste my money doing that treatment if they thought my veins where too thin? They should have known specially because they examined them before doing the treatment. I emailed them asking for my money back and they never responded. I feel I was scam by them for more than $500. I want my money back.Initial Complaint

I went to the *********** of America on November 19,2021 to have my spider veins injected as to remove them. The procedure is called Sclerotherapy. Tatianna did the procedure. She was very inexperienced, said she worked there 1 1/2 years but did other things there as well. She took too much time injecting and was unsuccessful getting into the veins. She changed the needle head dozens and dozens of times. I sat up and watched the procedure and was very frustrated that it was not working at all. This was my 5th time having this procedure done. I had my dermatologist do it and it was very successful. He no longer does it, which is the reason trying a new place.I have called about 6 times to get this problem resolved. They tell me they are e-mailing the regional manager, Levy ******** out of ******, ****. He has never called me back or e-mailed me once. I would like my money back because it looks like nothing was done at all. I am so displeased with the procedure and that no one calls to rectify this problem. I have also learned that Tatianna no longer works there.Business response

I purchased a consultation visit with the *********** of America through Groupon. On Feb 22, 2022 I went to my appointment. The individual in the exam room did an evaluation and said I really didnt need treatment. She did however, write me prescription for compression socks. I asked amount I owed and was told no cost for consultation visit.I went to the front desk and asked again what I owed for the visit, the front desk person said there is no charge for consultation visit.I have now received a **** for $50. I called and was told in my file it says I was advised it would be $100. That was never indicated to me. Today is the first I heard anything about $100. When I made and went to the appointment it was with the understanding I had paid for it through Groupon. The only thing the young lady on the phone wanted to do was to talk over me and say, it is what it is. Your insurance is Well Care and thats a government plan so you owe the money. I feel this charge should be removed as two employees in their office assured me I owed nothing. Thank youBusiness response

We believe there may be some confusion here. Vein Clinics of America does not advertise on Groupon. We also record all of our phone calls and texts. Patient received texts stating the fee of the consult and what her insurance may cover. Patient confirmed she understood.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:Never did I receive any email indicating charges. Why was I told by two different people in their office there was no charge as they do not charge for a consultation?When I called to question the charge the individual I spoke with stated the charge is due to me having ******************* and as that is a governmental Insurance they were required to charge. That statement alone makes zero sense to me.

I filed bbb complaint 2 months ago and a lady from vein clinics calls and said she would correct billing by removing $95 charge that was never quoted.She said she would remove , but I just received another notice of $95 fee charge.I called jan 4th 202 to make sure she had corrected and never received a call.The ladies phone number is ************Business response
