We bought a brand new 2021 Heartland Mallard 312 camper from Camping World in Georgetown, ** the end of May , 2021. It had arrived from the factory with several issues that needed to be repaired, replaced or corrected to bring it completely showroom "new" roll off the lot status. The dealer assured us that all things would be covered under warranty, that they would fix the items they could before we returned to pick it up and that our local store *********, ** could handle the remainder work under warranty no problem. When we picked up the camper several days later in June nothing had been done but we needed it for a planned trip. After the trip we delivered it to the ********* store and for the most part it has remained on their lot all this time (it is now late November 2021) and they still have failed to complete the items to bring it to new condition. Since it has been on their lot it has suffered damage and now we are going into the winter months and the camper has not been properly winterized. All this time we are making payments on a camper we can't use. Each time we call or show up to check the status of the progress of our camper, no one knows. No one is following up on it and each time we have to go back thru the history even though we are talking to same contact! The last time we were there, the customer service rep said " nice to finally put a face with a name" he had forgotten he had met me before. That is the problem. Each time we go in they are nice, say they are going to resolve everything, then when we leave they don't give it another thought. Two weeks go by we check in they are nice but nothing has been done. They don't know the status, they say things like remind me again, what were we doing? No follow up. We have contacted corporate and can't get past their apology committee. Her name is *************************. She will never answer the phone only call you back and leave you a voicemail. No resolution, only to apologize and say ********* will fix it.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:Camping World did make an offer of $24,800 to buy back camper, this amount is just over half of what we paid for it 7 months ago, most of which time it has sat on their lot waiting for repairs. The amount was insulting.I do not feel this company has made sufficient effort to rectify the situation.**** & *******************************Initial Complaint

In October we called Camping World because we needed a few repairs to our camping trailer, we had a warranty that they assured us would cover everything. After driving the over 1 1/2 hours to take our trailer there, they told us in person that NOTHING would be covered by the warranty. Frustrated, we asked them to get us a bid and we would decide if we could afford the repairs. We repeatedly asked them to get our approval BEFORE any work was started, once in person and three times over the phone. Well they did NOT get our approval before starting the work and then called and told us we they had finished it and our **** was over $500.00. They dropped the **** down to a lesser amount but wouldn't work anymore with us. My husband talked to them multiple times telling them we didn't want them to do anything without our permission. That we just wanted a bid. They didn't care. Not only did they lie about what our warranty would cover to get us to come there, they did unauthorized work on our trailer and then made us pay for it to get our trailer back. Would not recommend this place to anyone.Business response

We purchased a brand new 2021 fifth wheel ** from Camping World in ******** ** on June 30, 2021. While doing our final walk through we noticed that the refrigerator had been damaged and made the service technician aware and he said it would be replaced under warranty since it was damaged. We picked up the camper and brought it home only a few days later because the business had to install a fifth wheel hitch in my truck. When we picked it up we walked back into the camper and noticed that the refrigerator had not yet been replaced but we're informed that it would take time for the warranty claim to be processed. When we got the ** home to Greenwood we opened all the slides and awnings to let our family walk inside and see everything. When the awnings had been open for about 30 minutes, the back awning made a loud noise and one side came completely unattached from the ** itself. The bolts had come loose. I called camping world and they wanted me to bring it back but I explained that I would be unable to haul the unit back because the awning couldn't be secured in the unit to travel down the road. Camping world assured me they would send a technician out to remove the damaged awning and have another awning ordered to replace it. The technicians came out and removed the awning and then the waiting began. It was at least 3 months before we ever got them back out to replace the awning and when they came it was the wrong awning and couldn't be out on the **. The refrigerator has yet to be replaced and it has been four months which is unacceptable. We have made multiple phone calls wanting updates and each time they have none to give. We are wanting help in resolving this matter as we have tried on our own between the company with no success.Business response

CWRV Sales confirmed that we have tried reaching out to the customer but have not received a call back. Forest River had sent us the wrong size awning the first time and we had to re-order. We repaired the refrigerator that wasnt working. We have a new refrigerator at the dealership for him. The second awning part has also come in. We still have a sink cover on order that has not been delivered yet. We will send a technician out again. To that end, we consider this matter closed.
