I read many reviews of this business before I drove all the way to Springfield from *********. The place was kind of old and shabby, but I found the owner and his father to be very nice and helpful. They seemed quite sincere and honest, showing me things they had recently fixed or replaced on the car. This was a 20 year old vehicle, so I didn't expect more than that, but did hope it was in good operating condition. Seemed to be a fair price. Very good test drive. Unfortunately, less than a week went by and the dashboard light went on for the catalytic converter sensor. They said they could look at it and fix any problem. We drove up there twice, first time, couldn't fix it, had to come back. (wasted an entire day) Second time, dropped it off and waited 3 days. Picked it up to find the car made more noise than before. Can't tell if they replaced the catalytic converters, but exhaust pipes pulled apart and were not welded or connected in any way. Just a giant mess. Came apart on the way home. My opinion of this mechanic is not very good. Honestly, looks like a kid put it together with *****'s putty. Really BAD! I'll be taking it to a local garage to be done right. It's obvious that, either these guys won't pay to do it right or don't know how to do the work. The car is now worse than when it went in. I should have known the dealership was a bit shady when the car came with no warranty. Not to mention, when we picked it up the first time, it had no gas in it. Really? Our first trip is to the gas station? I'm afraid that while ******* is a very nice young man, he does not quite get the whole customer service thing and his mechanic is severely sub-standard. While he finds some good older, used cars, they do not have the resources to properly evaluate or repair cars to any standard. Buyer beware. I wouldn't buy a car here unless you can evaluate it for yourself or have it inspected first! Good luck.
