To Whom It May Concern:
We take all customers concerns seriously and conduct thorough investigations based on facts and evidence. The facts presented do not support the conclusion that Take 5 is at fault for the issues you are experiencing.
This damage claim was submitted as a denial due to there being no indication of equipment failure and no other related incidents around this time. There is not any equipment on the passenger side that would leave this type of damage.

On 10/10/2024, I purchased what was advertised as a Lifetime Car Wash Membership. The associate told me it was a one time purchase of $16. Today I received another charge on my credit card of $16. This company deceived me by not telling me it was a recurring charge of $16. I did not sign up for this. When I tried to cancel the membership online today, I kept getting a response that my account could not be found, in spite of me inputting the numbers that were on the sticker as well as the receipt. I have enclosed a copy of the receipt that was given to me as well as the car tag sticker for verification.Business response

Your Monthly Unlimited Membership 958650610 has been deactivated and your credit card will no longer be charged for renewal. I would be happy to process a refund for the amount of $16.00. Unfortunately your credit card cannot be used for this refund. Either it is no longer on file or the Point of Sale system at this location does not allow for refund via credit card.
We have two options for you to receive your refund:
If you would like the refund deposited directly into your account, we need the Information below.
1. A Voided check copy showing your name and bank account info. (Best Option)
2. An ACH document from your bank showing the account information and your name.

I've been contacting them over 100 times to cancel my membership and nobody is answering the phone. You can't continue to charge me monthly for a membership I've been trying to cancel. I walked to the office and they close the door in my face and said "closed come back later" I have pictures of the actual person sitting inside the place. CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP.Business response

I purchased the $20.00 monthly unlimited carwash online, my local take5 let me through manually several times without any question. At the end of October I tried going through to wash my car and the lady informed me I needed a sticker on my window, I was never provided a sticker, she told me to stop in the office and speak with the manager. I went to talk with the manager and she confirmed I needed the sticker, when I explained I made the purchase on-line she told me I needed to cancel the current membership then purchase the monthly membership with her. I tried to cancel the membership on-line but was unable because I did not have a RFID number, tried calling but was NEVER able to speak to anybody, left several voice message and NEVER had one call returned. In the month of October they charged my credit card twice! Came here to see if anybody else was having the same problem and it looks like this is a regular for them.....Business response

Greetings. I see in our system that a membership was cancelled 11/01/24. The latest charge being $16.00 on 10/03 and the pass was used 5 times in that period. If another pass was purchased on-line I will need the receipt with the order confirmation number on it to do further research

Employee at this location signed me up for a membership I clearly declined as he was attending the machine at the gate.The company has been charging me monthly for something I dont use.From an online search this company has been doing the same to countless customers Would like this membership to be cancelled ****Business response

On 10/19/24 I used the ** code from the local Take 5 car wash (on signs posted everywhere) to link to the company website. I then signed up for the recurring monthly unlimited service. I then proceeded to the car wash where my code for entry would not work. An employee came out and told me those codes don't work, did you sign up on the website? I said yes, I did. On the website that is posted all over the car wash. She then said the company memberships don't work there, and she doesn't know why. She then said I had to come inside to start a membership and make a payment. I refused, telling her I had just made a payment on the company app that clearly states the location I was at as being the one I was signing up for. Again, she said those don't work unless I sign up in the store directly. I asked for a cancel and refund since they said it 'won't work'. She said I would have to contact the company directly. For two weeks I have been attempting to contact the company. There is NO option to speak with a person. The only option is to fill out a contact form. I have done that several times. They have responded that my membership was cancelled but I have yet to be refunded my original money for services I was unable to use.Again, I am attempting to contact for the refund and they need to clearly state the location will not accept anything done on their website/app. I'm sure they are collecting for many people for no service.Business response

on 10/24 I paid for a carwash ($16.00). The car wash was only partially working and only washed the drivers side of the car. We live out of town and only noticed that the passenger side was not washed (the car was very dirty) due to the brushes on that side not working. I attempted to call the car wash for a refund on 10/24 but no answer. I opened a ticket with the Take 5 call center on 10/24 and followed up on 10/26 with no response and no refund. I would like my $16 refunded because the Take 5 carwash was not working.Business response

I was erroneously setup for a $20/month since February 2024 and been build through October 2024! I never agreed to setting up a subscription, I went to the Take 5 Carwash located on ******************************************************* the manager indicated an account was set up in error?! Looking at the amount of complaints for this it seems there is a big scam going on! Im highly upset and am expecting a full refund. The sad part is that I really enjoyed going to this car wash. I hope someone from corporate reads this message and gives me a call back to try to make things right!Business response

You mentioned you disputed the charges with your bank in the email you sent today. Once you've disputed the charges with your bank, we'll be unable to assist with a refund since your bank will handle it from that point onward.

On October 4, 2024, at 9:49 AM, I was contacted by the local supervisor, ****, who requested additional pictures, which I promptly sent. However, I have yet to receive a response. On October 11, 2024, at 3:55 PM, I texted **** to inform him that I would be filing a police report regarding the incident and seeking legal counsel to pursue this matter in small claims ******** insurance provider has indicated that, without acknowledgment of fault from Take 5 Car Wash, the claim will be deemed at fault on my part. I am documenting all communications, including texts, video, pictures, and complaints, to support my case as I move forward with legal proceedings.I regret that it has come to this, but I can no longer rely on Take 5 Car Wash to act responsibly in this situation. I will ensure that all relevant materials are forwarded for legal resolution.Business response

I will reach out to this customer ASAP.
After speaking with the new site manager he stated that there was missing information on the customer intake form. Therefore,, the site manager could not submit the claim until missing information was retrieved.

I am rejecting this response for the following reasons:
If this were a professional business, their claims process would have been efficient enough to avoid the need for this step altogether.
Additionally, there is a serious issue with the competency of their management team. It has been excuse after excuse about what they plan to do, always after the fact.
For instance, why didnt their employees complete the form correctly? This reflects a lack of proper training, which falls on the company and its management. I had provided all of my information on the form, so why did the local site management fail to respond to my follow-up communication?
I have no confidence in this response, and my insurance company has the necessary evidence to pursue this matter further. I would also like my experience to remain visible on the Better Business Bureau website to warn others to avoid this business at all costs.

I entered the car wash located at ******************************************************************************* on May 25th, 2024. An employee scanned my credit card saying the machine was acting up. I did not request a membership (I live in eastern ** and only passing through). I was not provided an RFID and one is required to submit an online form for the car wash web page. I have not been able to reach a live person at the phone number listed for the location or corporate headquarter and neither has the northern Alabama Better Business Bureau. My credit card has been billed $27.00 each month on the 25th since. ************** is headquartered in ********* and is why I am submitting a complaint for that location as well.Business response
