***************************************************************************************************************** On Wednesday 4/25/22 I went in for a free consultation regarding laser hair removal. I was then told I would be getting a free test treatment that day to make sure the treatment would work, and today was the "last day of a **% 24 month financing plan" after being coerced and rushed into a contract I couldn't fully see what I was signing and didn't get to read thoroughly on my own, I received free test treatment after being pressured to start my actual treatment and saying now a few time and went home. That night I emailed and requested a full refund and all appointment and accounts cancelled. Was told there was nothing that could be done as services had started, however besides the "free trial" my service had not yet been started. I feel taken advantage of and would like a full refund, contract destroyed and rescinded and all personal information destroyed immediately.Initial Complaint

I went to Milan Laser Hair Removal May 23, 2022. I went in for my free consultation where I then spoke to a worker about the treatment. In the meeting I was rushed into filling out documents and choosing packages without giving any chance to think about the decisions being made and ended up having to pay the first payment. I was not given the chance to thoroughly go through the document regarding the payment policy and did not receive a copy until after having to contact them days later on May 26, 2022 regarding canceling and refunding the contract. I have spoken to multiple people from this business and they have not helped in resolving the situation. I have not received any treatment from them and do not plan on returning to receive treatment due to the finances behind all of this. It says that I am able to withdraw consent at any given time and was told that future payments will be put to a stop yet everyone has denied me this option.Business response

At the conclusion of the consultation, Ms. ******* decided to purchase laser hair removal on multiple areas. Her choice of payment was through monthly payments to Milan. In our purchase agreement with Ms. *******, she signed and agreed to all sales being final. On 5/28/22, Milan was informed that Ms. ******* filed a complaint with the BBB. One of Milan's Regional Sales Managers reached out to Ms. ******* to discuss cancelling her package. Ms. ******* determined to cancel her purchase and received a refund on 5/31/22. To recap, Ms. ******* purchased our services on 5/23/22 and received a full refund on 5/31/22. I made a consultation with Milan and arrived at my appointment on 2/22/22. I already had bad experiences with other laser companies so I wasn't expecting much, I asked for each body part and how much would be for the package. Was only going to get a least three packages of arms/ full back/ underarms. They offered me a full body package, I was hesitant and saw that it was a lot of money. They offered me discounts and I agreed but was still unsure if it was going to work. I've had two treatments and I have not seen much but is reasonable to see that it can take a while for it to come in affect. All of this was before covid hardship took effect. An unforeseen financial hardship took place and realized that all sales were final later in the paper work after I signed, while in the consultation I was never aware but understand. Of course Milan workers confirmed that all sales were final. Dealing with the financial set back, what I'm looking for is not a refund but to make a new contract with Milan to make me packages only for full arms/ full back/ underarms/ sideburns and not full body.Business response

I went in for a consultation on May 17th. While the service staff were very friendly, they pressured me to sign up for the unlimited package with a 25 month payment plan without giving me adequate time to read through the contract or have it looked at. Upon realizing that there is no way for me to afford this treatment, I went in the next day to ask for a cancelation as continuing would put me in significant financial hardship. The manager was sympathetic but then said "her hands were tied" and that there was nothing she could do. This is causing me a lot of stress and I really need Milan Laser to cancel my contract as I do not wish to continue at this time.Business response

Asmat participated in a free consultation on that date. At the conclusion of the consultation, Asmat decided to purchase laser hair removal. Asmat entered into a contractual agreement with Milan in the amount of $*******, financing her contract through Milan funded in- house financing. Asmat signed and agreed to all sales being final. Asmat did begin her laser hair removal treatments that same day. The following day we were contacted by Asmat's spouse, who relayed to us that she no longer wished to continue her treatments with us. Our Customer Resolution team spoke with Asmat on 5/19/22 at which time they granted her cancellation of contract due to financial hardship and refunded her down payment. The contract was refunded in full. Milan considered the one treatment she received as a free promotional treatment. At the conclusion of the call, Asmat was satisfied with the outcome. To recap, Asmat purchased our services on 5/17/22 and asked for cancellation of those services on 5/18/22. The contract was refunded and is considered canceled.Initial Complaint

On Tuesday 4/26/22 I went in **************************** for a free consultation regarding laser hair removal. At the conclusion of the consultation, Verna made a purchase in the amount of $******** and entered into a contractual loan agreement with Milan for her services. She signed a payment agreement with her financing of choice through Milan. She signed and agreed to all sales being final. Verna received 1 treatment on 4/26/22. On 4/27/22, Verna contacted the ************ clinic where she had purchased her package and requested a refund. Our Client Resolution team was contacted and reached out to Verna on 4/27/22 at which time they came to a resolution for her to keep one area and refund the remaining balance so that her payment would be reduced. A short time later, within five minutes, Verna called the Client Resolution team back requesting to cancel the entire package and receive a refund in full. The Client Resolution Specialist agreed to refund the entire purchase price of $*****. The one treatment she did receive was considered a free promotional treatment and she did not pay for that. Verna's contract was refunded on 4/28/22 and her contract cancelled. To summarize, Verna purchased our services on 4/26/22, and her contract was cancelled with all monies refunded on 4/28/22.Initial Complaint

Many years ago, I started treatment with Milan Laser beginning with the free consultation. I was informed laser hair removal would work for me and it would take 7-10 treatments as expected for most people. They kmew from the beginning I had tried laser removal as well as electrolysis before. I agreed to the plan that included the lifetime guarantee. I consistently did treatment for years following that initial signing of contract and I paid my balance in full somewhere around 2016/2017 I believe. I continued treatment but I never got the permanent results they claimed I would receive. At my last session this year, the treatment assistant submitted photos to the corporate office to show the treatments weren't working and showed I had been at the highest power level for the laser for a while. I received a generic voice-mail response from Milan stating 'consistency and leveling up on power will achieve permanent hair removal.' which just isn't true clearly by my treatment folder. The woman who left the voicemail was clearly reading a preapproved message. I want a refund for results not delivered/promised results not received. It's deceptive and I paid a lot of money for nothing to occur. I've expressed the hair removal wasn't happening and results were not being achieved in almost every treatment session.Business response

During Upon this notice Milan had not been notified by Ms ******** of her dissatisfaction with her services. 12/23/2021 was the last time that Ms ******** had been seen. During Ms ********* 12/23/2021 visit the provider reviewed Ms ********* results and determined that the cause of delayed results was due to infrequency of treatments. In order for Ms ******** to receive the results she paid for she will need to schedule every 5 weeks. Ms. ******** has yet to be seen since 12/23/2021. If my treatment schedule was truly looked at, you'd see I did consistent treatments and upped power levels for YEARS. The treatment simply does not work. At my last appointment, the voice-mail I received from Corporate was blaming me for having red hair and stating I need to up the power level AGAIN, when I'm already at the highest level! I had the same hair color at the consultation I had in 2016. Your company lied about being able to treat my hair growth knowing I had red hair and had had laser treatment previously that was not successful. I am making a FINAL, formal request for the District Manager (who oversees the region where ********** clinic is located), the appropriate Senior Manager/Director who has authority to resolve escalated complaints at the corporate HQ level and to authorize complete refund of all payments. Over the past 10+ weeks, I have repeatedly and exhaustively attempted, via a variety of channels, to speak with, get the contact info for, or receive a return call from the DM for my area or a senior manager/director at the corp level. I've been advised by every Milan employee I've spoken with by phone that they aren't allowed to provide any PH#'s for the DM or for Milan Corp HQ to anyone, even clients, which is highly unacceptable for numerous reasons. Each of these same employees assured me they'd forward my name/contact info directly to the DM, let the DM know I have an escalated complaint, and promised me I could expect a return call from said DM within 1-2 days Additionally, after my first attempt to reach a higher-up to no avail, I sent a message via ********* to the Official Milan Laser page detailing my upset. I received a reply from whoever oversees the page apologizing and promising that the District Manager would call me personally to discuss my issues - that being services denied, questionable business practices, false advertising, unethical sales practices, etc. A few days after this, when no one had called me, even though I'd reached out separately by both phone and *********, I sent another message to the ********* account. I received another reply apologizing that I had not heard from the DM. This time I was told she'd once again forward my request for a return call to the DM, but that she'd also make the VP aware of the situation, who'd ensure that I would receive a call back. This was 2 months ago, and still no one has called me. I was denied services for which I paid and now expect a full refund of 4 payments of $***/each total $*** immediately.Business response

I went in for a free consultation on March 2nd and was greeted and told to go into the back to learn about the treatments. They then proceeded to use several manipulative sales tactics that I now realize I fell for. ********************************************************************************************** At any attempt to reason that I am uncomfortable with the cost of the treatment, I received further pressure to just finish signing. I went through with one treatment a couple of weeks later on the 19th of March. After doing further research on laser hair removal, I realized that several signs that are supposed to indicate the hair removal process is working were not evident at all in my case. I realized exactly how I was taken advantage of and just how detrimental the payment plan could be to my finances (and the questionable results I received). Additionally, unforeseen financial hardship required me to seek an immediate end to my treatment. After bringing up my concerns over the phone with the woman who originally pressured me into buying the package, she used personal information I shared with her in my initial visit to again scare me into complying with the treatment and payments being charged to my account. I have only felt uncomfortable and grossly out of control when trying to deal with this business and I am seeking an immediate cancelation of my treatment and a refund.Business response

Mason participated in a free consultation on 3/2/22 and at the conclusion of the consultation, Mason decided to purchase laser hair removal. Mason was approved for Milan funded financing with whom he signed a purchase agreement in the amount of $******* , with the understanding that all sales were final. Mason began treatments on 3/19/22. On 3/31 Mason contacted the clinic manager stating that he would like to cancel his contract. The clinic manager stated that all sales were final and wanted Mason to come back into the clinic to discuss as it involved a contract. I was contacted on 4/19/22 by the BBB with Mason lodging a formal complaint stating that he wanted to cancel his contract. I contacted Mason at the number listed on his client account and spoke with him right away. We discussed his reasons for canceling and I agreed to refund his package in its entirety in the amount of $****, and I also stated that the first service that had already been rendered to Mason would be considered a free promotional treatment. Mason was happy with the resolution and I had our accounting team process his refund in the amount of $****. To summarize, Mason was refunded in full and the matter is resolved. I had a free consultation at the Milan location in ********* at which time I was pressured into signing up for services and 0% interest payment plan. I decided not to go through with the services and notified the clinic that I wanted to cancel all future services and payments. After speaking to multiple people on the phone I still continue to receive invoices and past due notices for services that were never rendered. I need this company to stop billing me for services I have not received and will never be receiving in the future. Thank you.Business response

Milan offers unlimited sessions for a lifetime. At her will, Ms. ****** stated she did not want to begin her laser hair removal treatments that she purchased, and wanted to call to make the appt at a later date. On April 8th, Ms ****** called the clinic to discuss putting her payments on hold for a few months. At that time the clinic manager explained the agreement, the process, and ****, and thought they had come to a resolution, with the client stating she would call back to book her first treatment. The clinic manager was not contacted again by Ms. ****** until this complaint was filed with the Better Business Bureau. On 4/12 I called Ms ****** and we initiated a refund on her contract. I then provided Ms *****, by email, at her request, confirmation and receipt of the refund.
