delivery to a correctional institution(Hillsborough county jail) was not completed. order number ******* created in the kiosk was not delivered to the inmate in August 2023. inmate asked for a signed receipt advising that the delivery was completed to inmate. no receipt was provided. inmate was advised as of 09/18/2023 that the delivery was unable to be delivered because the order was under investigation. the inmate is in the medical portion of the facility. The inmate has contacted me on several occasions regarding the status of the delivery he has since received a recent order and prior orders to order number *******. i reached out to your company's representative to verify if my credit card was under investigation and would i need to advise my bank of any issues that someone may reach out to ***** *****? and why would there be a monetary issue since no moneys can change hands with the inmate and any monetary transmission needs to be done electronically and how and why would that be a factor in delivery to the inmate as i asked the represenative and if there was an issue would they not contact law enforcement regarding an investigation and why would they take part in any that would effect my personal account? my questions to the rep who then quoted policy of the inability to discuss the inmates delivery and disconnected the call. how can this company be over soo many facilities and disregard the reason they are in business without anyone overseeing them and ensuring all is being done correctly. remember the reason why they were implemented is because inmates deposits were being mishandled and they are showing no better than the priors who were in charge. there are several complaints regarding this issue and in Florida the State Attorney office does not bode well with any scheme for profit. The inmate needs to receive his delivery for order number ******* and orders going forward as the agreement of payment assures when an order is requested and paid.Business response

Dear *** *******,
I am responding on behalf of Aramark Correctional Services, LLC (“Aramark”) to the correspondence submitted to the Better Business Bureau (“BBB”) by ******* ****** ******, Complaint ID #********, dated September 20, 2023. After careful consideration of ** ******’s complaint, Aramark would like to provide the below response.
Understandably there may be challenges with delivering ***** packages to incarcerated individuals, given the security and strict rules at correctional facilities, particularly in highly restricted areas such as a medical facility, which are outside of Aramark’s control, and which may frustrate delivery of loved ones’ packages. Aramark always strives to deliver ***** packages in a quick and efficient manner; however, we are ultimately subject to each facility’s delivery procedures.
We truly value our customers’ trust and confidence in us, and we endeavor to promptly resolve any concerns. In the event a loved one does not receive their ***** package in a timely fashion, Aramark encourages customers to contact our ***** Support Team, which is available from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. E.T., seven (7) days a week. For questions regarding refunds, please refer to Aramark’s ***** refund policy,
which is available at the time of purchase and published at: ***********************************.
Thank you for your time and attention to these matters. Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at ###-###-#### and **************@aramark.com.Sincerely,

Aramark uniform services currently has ************************* in collection. I cancelled service after they threatened me into paying $2400 in 2022 for a contract which they breached by not providing the service they promised more often than not, including charging us for periods of time when we were closed due to covid outbreaks. They proceeded to send a rep in to the Post to coerce a sick elderly volunteer who is not authorized to sign contracts into restoring service after I had cancelled. We refused delivery and I spoke with the driver, the district rep, who was subsequently fired, and the home office. I even sent a certified letter with return receipt proof that they received it and was told it would be taken care of on many occasions.I continued to receive threatening phone calls and now a collection agency has picked up where they left off. I can provide the names of 3 other local businesses which have had the same problem with this company. Inasmuch as I am considering filing a lawsuit against the company for the harassment, embarrassment and stress I have personally endured as Finance Officer of ************* **** I will settle for the following; refund of the $2400 they pressured me into paying previously, annul the debt they falsely say we owe currently and expunge the collection activity on our credit report. Please know I tried numerous times to terminate this problem and that I respectfully appreciate any help you can provide.Customer response

I am the owner of ****'s **** ****** and have been since September of 2017. My father, ***********************, previously owned this business DBA ****'s **** ******* and aquired services through Aramark Services. We continued to use their services and pay the bills until we, as a business, switched our services to ****** recently. Aramark is claiming that *********************** signed and entered into a contract with them that evidently has no end date and that they have continuously failed to send us a copy of. We have no valid contract with Aramark Services, we have never signed a contract with them as ****'s *** ******* or *************************. ****'s **** ******* is no longer a business and the EIN has been ended. They call our business and hang up when we answer. They have people call and pretend to be customers to see if we are still in business. ****'s **** ****** and ****'s **** ******* WERE NOT THE SAME BUSINESS AND DID NOT HAVE THE SAME OWNERS. Two seperate businesses and two seperate owners. We are tired of their continued billing and harrassment and being told this will be resolved and they continue to send bills and ingnore any previous communications.Initial Complaint

We have been unhappy with Aramark's continued lack of service while still charging us We complained to Aramark back in April about not providing adequate restroom service. We sent photos of empty dispensers and also communicated to them that after many weeks after not fulfilling their obligations we wanted to cancel the service. We were told that we could not cancel due to our 5 year contract. Afterwards, restroom services stopped altogether in April. Our weekly bill was reduced to $35/ week. But over the last few weeks, our bill increased to $119/week without notice, without restroom services, and without anyone even coming here regularly. No one from Aramark has been here in weeks. The territory manager, ***************************, cannot be reached. ***************************, the rep who signed us up cannot be reached. It seems their is a strategic effort on Aramark's part to bait people into this contract without disclosing the terms, providing poor service, and then making it impossible to resolve the issues because no one can be reached. After I emailed the 'territory manager", he did not even respond to my email. Aramark has been given numerous opportunities to make this right and they keep failing by not providing services and arbitrarily charging us whatever they want without any explanation.Initial Complaint

We booked a lake view ADA queen room for two nights at the ****** **** Lodge on January 5th, 2023, for June 7th-June 9th, 2023. We paid a deposit of 269.21 at the time of booking, and the balance of $269.21 was charged at check in on June 7th. When we checked in, we were given a room with a view of the parking lot. We addressed the issue with the front desk supervisor but were told there were no lake view rooms available. The supervisor reached out to the manager who was offsite, but they were unwilling to offer any refund. We checked out the following morning at 8am, opting not to stay the second night. Upon our return home, we reached out to Aramark through their website and requested to speak with management. We received an autogenerated email response and nothing further. Each room at ****** **** Lodge specifies lake view, valley view, or parking lot in the title or description. The room we booked had lake view in the description, so it appears that Aramark is misleading guests in order fill parking lot view rooms. We are asking for a full refund, as we did not receive what we paid for.Customer response

I received a voicemail message from ****** with Aramark on Thursday,September 7th at 9:58 am. Her message stated she would like to discuss my experience at The *****************,and was available until 3 pm MT. Due to a hectic schedule, I was unable to return her call until Wednesday, September 13th at 9:01 am. A gentleman in the office took my call and informed me that ****** was currently unavailable. He asked what my availability was, and I confirmed that I would be available for the next hour, but otherwise could be reached the next day. I did not hear back from ****** until the following day, Thursday, September 14th,at 12:07 pm. Having just missed the call, I called back at 12:16 pm and spoke with another woman in the office. She placed me on a brief hold, and then confirmed ****** was unavailable again. I let her know that I had limited availability for the remainder of the day and confirmed she had just called me. I was placed on hold again, but finally game up after 10 minutes. I attempted to call again on Tuesday, September 19th at 12:09 pm, but the woman who took my call confirmed that ****** was again in a meeting and unavailable. I left my contact information again, but have not heard back.Customer response

During our initial interaction with the salesperson, *********************************, we were presented with a detailed proposal that outlined the terms and conditions of the service package we intended to purchase. ********************************* assured us that the total cost for the service would be $33 each delivery over a 36-month contract period. However, upon receiving the final invoice and reviewing the signed contract, it became apparent that the terms and pricing were significantly different from what was initially presented to us. Instead of the promised $33 each delivery for 36 months, we were charged $39 with an extended contract duration of 60 months. This disparity between the verbal commitments made and the written contract signed is both concerning and disappointing. Equally disheartening is the lack of responsiveness we encountered when attempting to address this matter with both ********************************* and the sales manager ****. Despite numerous attempts to reach out for clarification and resolution, our calls and messages went unanswered. We expected a professional and honest approach from your team, but the actions of your company have left us feeling misled and undervalued as customers.Initial Complaint

*************************** - Acct# ********** For years we have received invoices regardless of whether or not we received service. I recently emailed our rep about this again and I'm still receiving statements showing that one of the invoices is still open. This invoice is ********** and I originally emailed our rep in regards to this on 4/5/2023. I can provide all of the emails. I have emails going back to 2022 where I requested to stop being billed when we did not receive service. I assume many customers pay these without realizing that they didn't receive service and this is a horrible business practice. I requested that our account be cancelled on 7/21/2023 and was told that they have 30 days to correct any issues. Because I have being trying to resolve this with Aramark for well over a year, the 30 day period has long passed. All towels were picked up on 7/21/2023 and we have not received any service since then. For some reason we received a new invoice last week (**********).Customer response

In February I moved to Oregon to start this position. Upon beginning this job i disclosed my mental health disabilities, Including my ******* disorder that causes me to struggle with time management. Since i moved to another state my doctors and psychiatrist are out of state. My psychiatrist is also on maternity leave. I have tried multiple times to file an accommodation for this position and have little to no help. When I applied for this position the application said I would receive a sign on bonus, upon my first paycheck I noticed I did not receive said bonus. When I asked my managers and supervisors I was told that they “no longer” give said bonus. It also said nothing in the job description about any of the physical labor required to work this position. Almost all the employees in this company are overworked due to understaffing, so much so that some days most of us don’t get our 30 minute lunch. I walk over 20,000 steps at work a day and I lift 50 lbs plus without any PPE equipment whatsoever every shift. If nothing else they should have to include the amount of weight and physical labor portion of the position on their company application forms under the job description. This position is not at all what it was made out to be. I wouldn’t recommend this position to anyone.
