I purchased a set of Continental tires on July 29th on TireRack under the premise of a Continental rebate program for $110 for the purchase of the tires and an additional $90 rebate for the signup and use of a Continental Synchrony credit card. The rebate instructions directed me to a Continental rebate program website where I submitted information to receive both of these rebates. I received the $110 rebate, but did not receive the $90 rebate. On August 28th I first contacted the rebate support line and was told that my issue would be given to "upper management" and that I would hear something back in 7-10 days. Having received not following correspondence I again contacted the support line on September 13th. I was again told there was no information available and that they would contact "upper management". I asked them if they had any record of prior calls from me and they stated no. I asked them if there was any previous request in their system to investigate the missing rebate and they said no. I asked them for direct contact information for the "upper management" and it was denied that as well as any explanation for who the "upper management" are. I was again told I would be contacted in 7-10 days which never happened. On Oct 11th I again contacted the support line and was told that they would have to reach out to Synchrony for a status update and that I would hear something back on October 16th. I have currently as of October 19th not received any information. It seems apparent that the rebate processor is either egregiously incompetent or is deliberately refusing to process my rebate. I have wasted countless hours going through phone menus and waiting on hold. Having fulfilled the terms of the rebate, I demand that Continental honor their advertised rebate and provide me the $90 I am owed. I have purchased more than 5 sets of Continental tires in the past but this experience has soured my view of the company significantly.
