Pendrick Capital bought my alleged medical debt from healthcare provider in 2023. The debt was not owed because provider failed to file the charges to the insurance company until 10 months after the date of service and the debt was then owned by Pendrick. Upon contact from Pendricks 1st debt collection agency l called and put the account in dispute status. I provided documentation from the insurance company (who paid the provider) and the provider (who showed my account balance as $0.00). Within 3 months my debt was moved without any notification to Pendricks 2nd collection agency and I had to start the dispute process all over again. The matter has just been resolved; it has taken more than a year. I did file a complaint with the **********************************. My hope is that others who are caught in the tragic situation will not give up. File a complaint with the ***** provide feedback on the BBB site, write your state and federal lawmakers. 1) Pendrick should better vet the debt they purchase. 2) Pendrick should not move debt to consecutive collection agencies without first notifying the consumer well in advance, this should be consumer protection law. My next order of business to see that it is.
