            We put in a maintenance request in early May because we had a moisture problem in two rooms of our home. The select group has only sent one general contractor that wasn't trained in detecting water leaks. The association then denied the maintenance request and didn't tell us. The main issue is with water intrusion from the exterior which they are responsible for and I can see out of a hole in one of my rooms. After having numerous contractors initiated by us and our insurance company come out and look at it, we have a contractor that is ready to fix it. We sent an estimate from this contractor over to the select group weeks ago via email. It's December and they have still not accepted responsibility that the exterior needs to be fixed. It has been over 6 months since the original issue was reported and now they want to send another contractor out to look at it instead of just paying to fix it. Meanwhile, we are responsible for the higher energy cost caused by un-insulated walls and have lost the use of two rooms in our home waiting for the exterior to be repaired. Communication during the whole process has been horrible and they have never taken initiative to get things done.

            If you are currently considering The Select Group as your management company, I strongly urge you to reconsider your decision. My experience with The Select Group was profoundly disappointing. Never before have I encountered such consistent levels of unprofessionalism and poor communication as I did during my time with this management company. The majority of the employees I interacted with were both negligent and incompetent, with the Director of Community Management being the most notable example. Furthermore, their business practices and financial accounting methods were questionable, at best. To worsen matters, I observed a clear absence of attentiveness and initiative on the part of the owners when it came to addressing the recurring grievances that were brought to their attention. With all things considered, I wholeheartedly advise that, if you are in need of a management company for your community, you thoroughly research and consider alternative options before hiring The Select Group.
