Last week I called Honda to request a deferral since I am experiencing medical hardships at this moment. I explained all of the details to the the **** He did advised me that he would try to get it approvied but that normally accounts need to be 6 months behind to qualify for a deferral. This made no sense to me but I appreciate the information. Currently, only my September payment is behind and its due to being hospitalized, sick, etc. Today, the same agent ******* calls me back, he mispronounces my name, when I correct him nicely, he never acknowledges any of this. ******* tells me that my request was denied because I recently had a due date change.. Well this made no sense to me, when I changed my due date it was to align with my pay cycle and I wasn't advised THAT DOING SO WOULD AFFECT FUTURE DEFERRALS. I asked ******* to either transfer me to a supervisor or have one call me back. He refused to and insisted on telling me that the supervisor would tell me the same thing. I explained to him that this matter is out of his span of control now and needs to be escalated. And he continually refused to transfer me. He told me that the supervisor told him to tell me this. I do not appreciate this type of service while I am having a hard time with my health. I need someone to help me, I have been a customer with **************** over ** years and it's disgusting to be treated this way in my time of need. I want a supervisor to call me and assist, and I want to ensure ******* gets coached on this call.Business response

Complaint: 22358019
I am rejecting this response because: They do not make the decision that the complaint is closed. They have NOT ADDRESSED my concerns. Credit report is still inaccurate on all 4 bureaus. Unable to get through the automated system. Unable to have a conversation with a manager. If they do not address and fix the issue I will file another complaint with another agency. They have not provided a response to my original complaint and NOW they consider it Closed. How can it be closer if nothing was addressed. Request a manager to properly respond to my BBB complaint and address all of my issues.
Sincerely,

I have a 2021 Honda Civic. The battery died. Had it tested and it was definitely the battery. So I got a new battery and, of course, I put the black negative wire on the battery along with the red positive wire and now my car wont start due to the electrical being damaged!! I had it looked at and apparently, the Honda manufacturer mis-labeled the wires and apparently the black wire is positive when it is supposed to be NEGATIVE. Everyone knows this! This is the fault of Honda and I want them to pay to have my car towed and fixed and any other expense I had to deal with. So far a new battery, $280 and a tow to have it looked at $175. Plus all cost to fix my car AND correct the wires!!!!!!!!!!!Business response

American Honda Finance Corporation ("AHFC") is responding to a complaint received from you on September 28, 2024. We appreciate the opportunity to respond to your concerns.
In your complaint, you mention the vehicle has battery issues and there was also an issue with the wires.
Honda dealerships are independently owned and operated and **** has an arms-length, contractual relationship with them. **** was not present at the dealership during the sales negotiations and we cannot comment on your experience. However, we certainly want any issue to be resolved promptly. To that end, we encourage you to continue to work with your dealership to resolve the issue or to contact American Honda ****************************************** at ************** to express your complaint about the dealership.Customer response

Complaint: 22353371
I am rejecting this response because:
Honda is responsible for building this car, not the dealership. Your attempt to defer responsibility on improper wiring to a dealership is apauling. It is also not my responsibility to track down those responsible. You are honda, you fix the problem you caused. Please don't make me put a UCC1 lean on you and just make this right by paying for the repairs to damages you caused by mixing wires.UCC1-202 NOTICE

I have purchased an Acura MDX vehicle from the Honda financial company and paid it in full after completing its lease term in August 2023. Until now I do NOT have the title for the vehicle. They initially sent the original title to a wrong address where I dont live anymore. They have been telling me they are trying to get a duplicate title since then. I have called them like hundreds of times, nothing changes its either they say we never received the title and try to blame the Pennsylvania DMV Penndot services. I even called the PennDot themselves many times, and on many occasions they stated that Honda Financial didnt submit the correct forms, and that the vehicle is still listed as owned by Honda and leased by me, hence they cant send me the duplicate title directly. I am very frustrated by Honda financial, doing nothing and giving me mixed messages, and I cant still figure out to get a title for a vehicle that I purchased in FULL 13 months ago from supposedly a legit company.Business response

My vehicle was in an accident June 20, 2024. It was demmed a total loss in July. It was towed from the scene but I'm still paying for this vehicle. The insurance company contacted Honda Financial in August to notify them of the loss. I never hear from Honda Financial so i reach out. I've NOW talked to Honda Financial multiple times and I'm forced to continue to make payments and hope that it is over soon. Then wait for reinmbursement AFTER the payment from GAP is received. I'm still paying for a car that I cannot drive and still unable to purchase a new vehicle as I have to continue to pay for the totaled vehicle. The other party was at fault yet I am the one running around, making calls, and providing documentation. Honda Financial never reached out regarding any information that was needed or outstanding. I was just told yesterday the police report hadnt been sent. Both my insurance company and I have had it for at least 60 days but i was never asked to provide it. I was told yesterday that they hadnt recieved payment from the dealer on warranty. The only reason I was told was because I kept asking over and over what was holding me up. My insurance company provided payment to Honda but it only applies to principal so here I am 3 months later paying for a totaled car. Honda never reached out to me but i'm stuck paying for now. I have to somehow buy another vehicle and pay for my old vehicle at the same time. I advised of the hit to my credit report because it was 2 days late because I was advised it would be completed by then but it wasnt. Just know to this company you are just a name on paper, they don't care what kind of hardship they place you in. All i'm told is keep paying and i should be resolved until its not and I make another payment or take another hit to my credit. But they suggested i go ahead and purchase another vehicle just in case the case is resolved by then like 2 car notes is reasonableBusiness response

Complaint: 22340519
I am rejecting this response because that information was provided to a supervisor and I received a call back after a letter was suggested. The supervisor advised that they could do something about it and needed approval. She put me on hold to talk to someone and later came back and said that I needed to continue to pay and a late payment wouldn't do too much damage to my credit. Although I NEVER received a call about a late payment or past due payment for me to even know what was and was not paid. Honda Financial just wants to make it someone else's problem when they are simply chosing not to help. Also the "letter" was not a solution, it was a try this and maybe it'll work because they didn't want to transfer me to that department.
Sincerely,

On the first due date of my purchase, I made an online payment for my account via phone, then subsequently set up auto-pay via the online portal. Both of which I was told went through successfully. However, after noticing that the payment did not go through, I contacted your customer service department, and a representative informed me that the issue was on Honda Financial Services end. The representative assured me that the late fees would be waived and apologized for the inconvenience. Upon going back into my account, it appears as a payment reversal. Despite this, the issue persisted, and I made a third attempt to resolve the payment problem. At that time, the agent recommended I use a credit card instead, as their system was having trouble processing my payment via banking information. I assure you that this was not due to a lack of funds in the account, as the payment is relatively insignificant. Unfortunately, despite my best efforts to resolve this situation, a late payment **** was still added to my credit report.Since the failed payments were due to technical difficulties on Honda Financial Services end, I kindly request that the late payment **** be removed from my credit report as it does not accurately reflect my payment history or my commitment to meeting my financial obligations in a timely manner.I would greatly appreciate your prompt assistance in this matter. Please confirm the removal of the late payment **** at your earliest convenience. Should you require any further information, feel free to contact me via email or phone.Business response

Financed my Honda with Honda Financial services, loan was paid off June 2024. I had called them to give my new address. I didn't know it, but the customer service *** only changed my "garage" address, not the billing address. When I called in September asking why I hadn't received the title yet, I was told it was mailed to the incorrect billing address (hadn't lived there in 2 years), so I never received it. She told me my only option was to get a duplicate title from my state (**). That will cost me $67 and when I asked for a Lien release letter I was directed to a website where I had to spend $27 more to get the letter. I have financed several cars in the past and never had a problem. The website for *** has no contact email anywhere for complaints. I would like a refund from them of $94 to cover these costs which I had to incurr due to their incompetence.Business response
