Traded in a camper for a used camper. Was told it had a full inspection done. The trailer connection to the tow vehicle don't work and as of today's rain storm we found a leak about the bunkbeds. I called service and left my name and number and was told I would be called back. They never called back. Here I am today Nov 5 and asked to leave my name and number again. Games are being played. I just want a camper that I paid for in working order. So far every camper i have got from camping world as had to be returned for work.Customer response

We purchased a refundable service plan and have asked to cancel and get our refund. It has been months of trying to get ahold of someone. Waited on hold multiple times for hours while the manager got to the phone, never did. Drove over an hour to the store to talk to a manager. Bought a new camper two weeks ago and drove it off the lot after it was inspected before we drove it off, but we took it camping in ************* where it was cold and the heater would not turn on at all. We call a maintenance man who walks us through the operational process on the camper, tells us we are doing everything right but that we will have to bring the camper in to have it checked. Further more the backup camera didnt work upon inspection and we get a call while in ********** to bring the camper in for installation. We take it in and the clerk at the service desk tells us we have to have an appointment and that they have no where to put the camper. My husband at this point gets upset and they agree to keep the camper and look at it. One week goes by and we do not hear back on the status snd we call the service desk. My husband is told that Camping World is waiting to hear back from the warranty company but they tell us we cannot get a number to call the warranty company. We call a manager back and he goes on to give us a lecture about buying a car, having to wait for an appointment and then wait for the warranty company to contact them. Im Upset and tell them if they cant fix our new camper that I want another one that works but Im told it doesnt work that way. I told the Manager I would file this complaint then and I was told that I cant threaten him, its not about threatening anybody but about Camping World in *********** giving customers prompt service and coming across with empathy and especially when you are paying top dollar for their merchandise. Customers do not want to hear excuses, or lectures but need reassurance that their needs will be met. We definitely do not want to be told that it doesnt work that way or that we cant file a complaint because this is threatening.Business response

I have been fighting with this company since I purchased a trailer from them that they covered up water damage and mold. The water damage and mold became visible once the trailer was moved and set up and water was put into the black and grey tank. The trailer was picked up and returned to camping world and they cancelled the contract and agreed to return my ******* I put as a down on the trailer. They never returned the money, they found another trailer that was roughly ****** newer and in good condition. They were suppose to transfer the ******* to the down on the new trailer and never did. I am still fighting to get my money back for the original trailer or have it credited to the replacement trailer. I have pictures, and over 100 pages of documentation and both original contracts. They will not provide any thing showing the refund or transfer of funds as I have requested because they never returned the money. On the new trailer they also financed through **** and that contract was returned because they lied to **** in their contract with them and OCCU made camping world buy the contract back for falsifying their information in the contract. **** is even willing to get involved on my behalf.Business response

I purchased a 2013 *************** Elite on 10/4/2024. On 10/19/2024 I did the demo walk through because previously there was no plug in available to check it out. All slide outs were working and salesman told me everything worked fine no problems. On delivery 10/24/2024 after set up one of the slide outs would not work. I had a mechanic look at it and he said the slide was bad that the motor wasn't working and he could see it has been worked on previously. The company is trying to tell me I signed a paper stating that was a problem on there and that's a lie! I would not have bought it with a bad slide out and I specifically asked salesman about slide outs and roof and he said everything worked. They refuse to come pick it up and refund me my money. Also the stove had an issue that I was told would be fixed and it wasn't. The reputation of this place on ****** and a news report in 2019 by *** NEWS tells everything!! I purchased a three year old ** from camping world. Approximately two weeks later they called me and told me that there was a recall on the awning and that they could fix it in a day. Please note, at this time the awning seemed to work just fine. Camping world of wheat Ridge kept The ** for almost 5 weeks and when I got home it made a strange sound. I called them and asked them to what they could do. They offered to fix it but I told them no, that they had less than a stellar track record. I asked for them to reimburse me for the one month of payments (~$1,100) that I've made on the **, during which time I could not use it, and after which received a non-functioning unit. Once I mentioned the Colorado Attorney General's ************************** they refused to speak further with me and referred me to their attorneys. I took it into another service center and discovered that the sound is the motor for the awning which tries to run intermittently, causing it to heat up. There is danger of a fire. Diagnostic work continues and it is unclear how much it will cost to repair the awning, which is manufactured by ********. I believe they're located in ********************Camping world of wheat Ridge attempted to justify their actions by saying that they really didn't work on Winnebago or **s that much, and that they mostly just worked on trailers. Keep in mind please that they called me to bring it in for this recall and they promised a one day turnaround. I did not initiate the contact.Business response

On September 29 my ******** looked at campers. Found one we liked. Got the call during my chemo on Tuesday that our financing was approved so we're going in 10/3 to do walk through and sign papers. Got the call they'd found a leak on the dining window and had sealed it but wanted to clean the carpet could we reschedule. Went in on 10/5. Walk through was good. Sales mgr had ordered replacement panels for dinette so it went on the We Owe form. They were going to dump the black and gray tanks and would hold the unit on their lot until we could get someone to pick it up. We had to get them to deliver; tanks had not been dumped, no call from the driver to say on the way as promised. Delivery appointment set up for an earlier in the week was missed and if wife hadn't called in it probably wouldn't have been delivered at all. Wrong power cord was put in and she had to drive from ********* up there to get the right one. Faulty propane tank and she had to go up there and get a new one. Leak underneath kitchen sink and she tightened it up. Night of 10/22 the dinette bench collapsed with me on it. Collapsed due to water damage. Mold on boards of bench& she's extremely allergic to mold so now we know why she been sick for a week. Camping World is supposed to come get the camper on Monday, rebuild the bench and check under the carpet for mold and gave it back to us by the end of the day. Frankly I don't trust them anymore to do what they say they will do. They should never have put it in the lot like it was as that leak should have been found in initial inspection BEFORE going on sale. I don't trust them at all now because of all the stuff we've dealt with just in the last week and it was all little things. This mold is a big deal and my falling is too bc I have cancer and am on dialysis. I would be much more comfortable with an exchange or a replacement instead of getting a known mold carrier that probably will not be properly cleaned.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: Repairs to the unit took longer than expected. They pulled out part of the carpet and put Killz down on the flooring underneath. This doesn't get rid of mold. Laminate was installed in place of the carpet and the dinette benches were rebuilt. When the slide out was put in it tore the original floor and it had to be repaired. I don't think the repair is going to last long with it being in a high traffic spot.
Now there is a hole big enough for my wife to put her whole hand inside that goes from the floor of the slide out to the outside. This was not there before the camper went in for repairs.

I have been trying to get a response from this company for two and a half months only now after I put in a complaint about them with the BBB two days ago I finally get a response. I dont have a lien holder with that bank anymore the check should be mailed to me at my residence. I really dont trust that bank because they took eight extra payments I made early and applied all those extra payments to principal only. Guess time will tell if this is going to be resolved. Funny thing is that two weeks after I purchased the camper from camping world the sent me a message stating they would purchase it back for $12,000 less. Need I say more. Time will tell.

Purchased a new ** May 2024. 1st day of delivery at the ********* 600 event multiple discrepancy were identified. Camping world scheduled a service time to fix issues and showed up 3 hours late resulting in us missing the opening veteran ceremony and vip infield events. We used ** 2nd time during July 4th weekend, ant which time the electrical convertor went out causing all appliances to stop working and 50 % or outlets. We had spent several hundred dollars on ice and coolers throughout the weekend, The rv was dropped off at camping world in ********** N.C. shortly after the July 4th weekend. They kept the camper for nearly 2 months. They finally contacted us to tell us the rv was ready for pick up. The night we were ready to pick up the ** they called us again and stated someone was moving another ** and smashed into the rear of our **. They told us they already started making the repairs and ordered the additional parts to finish the repairs and would be ready for our scheduled camping trip Oct 11 and would contact us when it was fixed. I discussed with my wife and we both thought it was very unfair that they damaged our newly purchased ** and expect us to take it back. We told the service manager that we didnt want a damaged / repaired rv. We requested a new ** of the same or a full refund. I contacted Camping world corporate office every week for approx 4 weeks in a row via email and phone. After my 5th attempt a regional customer service manager contacted me and said the damage didnt warrant a full refund. She told us that she would contact in a week with some sort of compensation for the damage, missed camping trips and inconvenience for not being able to use the rv the entire summer. She also stated she would check and see if the ** repair has been made. Its been another week. Another email and another voice mail. No response from anyone and the ** is still in service. We missed out on significant events with family the entire summer.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: We visited the dealership on 19 Oct after not hearing from camping world despite multiple emails. Upon arrival to the service department the service *** stated the ** was ***aired some time last week. Repairs were not made to factory standards and full ***airs were not made caused by the damage. The ***airs were very sloppy. The service manager contacted us several days later stating he would have the remaining ***airs made and readdress the sloppy work that was done. We were told ***airs would be finish on 23/24 Oct. The 23/24 of Oct has passed , another weekend wasted with out the use of the ** and no we didnt receive a update from corporate or store who has our **. I had to reach out to the regional manager on 28th, who stated she hated to hear that and would look into it.
