I own a 2022 Aspen Trail Camper trailer. A recall was issued on the awning. I delivered the trailer to Camper World for repair of the awning. The sale ID ****** and customer #*******. I was notified by Camper World a few days after, informing me that the repair was complete. I picked up my camper and took it storage. On October 14, 2024 I deployed the awning and 10 inches at each of the awning was unglued and hanging down. On same day I called Camper World and spoke with ***** and told hem of the situation. I was informed that the recall repair was made and there was nothing more that could be done. On the picture attached to this complaint, notice the flaws that were present along the length of the awning where it attached at the trailer on September 5, 2023. I was told that that those were not included in the recall. It did not **** me at that time, the camper was still under manufactures warranty. If nothing else should the awning had been replaced. Remedy, replace the awning.

      Complaint: 22424897

I am rejecting this response because: Camping World and a representative of such has contacted me on my cell phone VIA telephone. She advised me that our message was being recorded. She explained to me that the manufacturer's warranty expired at the time that I filed my claim on the manufacturer recall on the fabric on my campers canopy and that the recall did not apply to my camper. I have an extended warranty on my camper however it covers electrical and mechanical parts only. So with this information she advised me of and that there was nothing further that will be done, she did offer to send a representative from the Camping World and meet with me at the storage facility that me camper is stored at to talk about further possible remedies, I told her, "What good would that do"? her communication with me in this matter was final and I agreed. Our recorded phone conversation ended.

Went to Camping World October 12th to look at purchasing a new camper. My family went around with a salesman, who was good to us, when we had decided on a camper, they offered it to us at a certain price which was more than we were willing to pay. We wanted to be at about $150 per month and the offer was around $220 per month, after negotiating for a few minutes, they said so if you are going to be in the $200 range then you would rather it be a camper with a slide out , correct? I told them that I would consider that. The salesman talked to whomever it was in the office and said they could do it for $218 per month, I said I would split the difference and would do $208 per month. They then said they could do that if I could buy a sway bar somewhere else and them take that off the price, I agreed, the salesman went back to the office and came back and said they would let the sway bar be included and the price be $213 per month and I agreed. They said they had to run my credit to see if I was approved, I told them I was willing to let them run my credit as long as we were certain on the price if i was approved, they assured me that if I was approved that it would be the $213 per month and possibly even a little lower. I was approved and they had me call an insurance company and pay a down payment on a policy for the camper, which I did and it was about $64. I was then told the camper would be ready for pick up on Tuesday the 15th, on that day I got a call telling me they made a mistake and could not sell me that camper for that price, that it would be about $285 per month or I could have a lesser camper for about the original price. I told them that that is not what we agreed to and they said sorry they made a mistake. I told them, that now they had hit my credit for no reason and had assured me of the price before running my credit and that I had paid for insurance that I would not need. It will be at least 3 weeks before I get a refund for that money.

      Complaint: 22429213

I am rejecting this response because: their response says we couldn't come to an agreement that was suitable for my budget,  that is NOT the case, we DID agree to a camper and a price, Camping world did not hold up to their end of the deal. As in the original complaint,  we had everything agreed upon , I paid $1000 down and also insurance,  we were to pick it up Tuesday evening but about 2 hours before I was taking off work to get it, they called and informed me that they could not sell that camper to me for that price. It had nothing to do with my budget,  it was all about being lied to and trying to get me to do something I had NOT agreed on.I am still, 3 weeks later trying to get my insurance money back, they caused this issue, NOT my budget situation. Them responding that the budget was the issue makes it even worse, more of a slap in the face and another lie on their part. I am even more frustrated with them now than I was before their lame response.

We contacted this business to sell our 2018 Pop Up Clipper. We reached out to this company via their website to see if they wanted to purchase it. Apparently at the time we mistakenly put in the wrong model number. Sales manager contacted us asking us via text asking us if we were interested in a purchase. We replied via text that we have a 2018 pop-up Clipper that we were looking to sell. She came back with a price contingent on inspection. The pop-up was inspected and the company made an offer for $6000. We accepted, signed paperwork, and signed over the title on Saturday, 10/5/24. The company told us their accounting department does not work on Saturdays, and they would be contacting us on Monday with the ***** number for our check. We reached out via text on Tuesday, and heard nothing back. We called on Wednesday, 10/8, and were told our sales manager was not available. On Thursday, 10/10, the company informed us via text they didn't catch an error, and the model on the paperwork was wrong and they are now going to offer us 3700 even though they had inspected and offered us a contract for 6000 that we signed. We escalated the claim to corporate, and they said b/c of the error they can only offer us 4500, after they had inspected it before making and signing an offer. Now they are saying our paperwork is invalid b/c the wrote the wrong model number when they drew up the paperwork. Company informed us via text on 10/10 that the title and reassignment of power of attorney are still good b/c they go by the **** We have a signed agreement to purchase that also has the same VIN with the purchase price of $6000. This is the price agreed upon after inspection, this was not bought sight unseen. We entered what we thought was a good faith agreement for both parties.

Purchased new ******* Light Travel Trailer August 21, 2023 from Camping World. One time used summer 2023 for two nights discovered reclining sectional did not work. Used again for two days July 7th, 2024 when discovered faucet leaks in shower and sink and water trickling out from the underbelly. The next morning discovered water pooled on the bedroom floor on the same side as the bathroom. Fridge door handle busted off in pieces. We returned home that day and contacted Camping world and told to bring it in Monday July 15th. Info was given and dealer also determined work to be done on the roof to seal some cracks. Request for work to be done sent to the manufacturer as camper was still under warranty. Over the next few weeks checked to see the progress. We were told had to wait for answer back from manufacturer, then waiting for parts, then finally we would be the next one in. Checked again to find had not started yet due to 5 others damaged in a storm and they took precedence over ours. Last week of August received call work was completed. Did not use as summer season was over. A few days ago proceeded to winterize the camper, decided to empty the clothes in the closet and found wet, moldy clothes and moldy closet inside. Apparently repairs on the roof were not satisfactory and rain had saturated the inside. After speaking to the dealer, they had requested 3.5 hours for roof repairs and manufacturer only permitted .3 hours and obviously job was not done completely. We requested the underbelly of the camper that was leaking from the bathroom be checked for wet materials as we didn't want future mold issues. Now we have the inside mold issues. Any mold issue would be detrimental to our health, and to future sale of this camper. We feel this camper should be totaled! There is no guarantee future mold problems would not present themselves. All we ask is our $5000.00 down to include the trade in allowance for the old camper. Upset with the service from the beginning.

      Complaint: 22406273

I am rejecting this response because: The work has not been completed to todays date. The week of October 14th we took the camper back to the dealer. They took photos of the mold and water damage in the bedroom closet. With our deadline of October 28th when we would be heading south for the winter we were informed they ordered parts but it would not be done before winter. On October 22nd we went to the dealership to retrieve the rest of our clothing and perishable items from the camper. The roof had still not been repaired. We were asked when the camper could be delivered to our home as they have nowhere to store it during the winter months. If roof repairs are not done further damage will surely happen through the winter. If inside repairs are not completed at this time the damage will continue. Arrangement now is they will deliver after we are gone but we need to arrange for a family member to be at our residence when that happens. Roof repairs need to be completed before returned. We have had rain since we delivered it and forceable rain in next week. I did request to the corporate manager that we obtain an additional one year extended warrantee incase work is not acceptable and we see more water damage thru the next season. She told me we would have to obtain that from the manufacturer.

She told me they guarantee their work for one year and it is noted on the invoice we received. We have three invoices or work orders and we could find no such message on any of them. We also received a call from the dealership wanting to know the details for them returning/delivering the camper when done. They have exceeded the time limit for us to pick it up as we were leaving the 28th for Texas and would not be home. At this point now when they are ready to deliver, we have to arrange for our daughter to leave her work and contact our neighbor to see if he is available to plow our driveway if it snows so they can deliver the camper. As far as we are concerned nothing is completed yet. We have had a couple days of rain since they have it and not knowing if roof repairs are even completed. Thank you.

      Sincerely,

      ***** ******

      Resolved
Nature of the dispute: The hot water heater has never worked in my brand new 2024 trailer. Camping World has had my trailer on their lot for a total of 11 weeks and still have not diagnosed the problem, looked at it or fixed it. The water heater is under warranty and should of been fixed originally when I brought it back to them in May. I get one excuse after another, including customer error (that we don't know or understand on how to use the water heater). I don't get returned phone calls when I call on the status of the trailer.
